Let the air out of the tires and remeasure, that’s the real bottom out. My guess it’s not 19” anymore.

I guess you could measure from the ground to the rim and add to 19”

Fully has a photo of his rear tires on a hard landing, flat as pancakes. They will compress and needs to be taken into consideration.

I’ve seen that photo. Don’t know if he’s running 6-ply and also fl350 has very stiff springs. His photo reminded me of a solid rear axle.

With the bumps I ordered, I can load anywhere from 0-2” in .5” increments. Should have room to make right.

I think it's closer to 64
Take top times bottom and then divide by top plus bottom 63.63
17500/275

When you go your test on bottom just let you air out of tires remove valve stem and set with 2x4 flat ,1.5 "

Math. I thought the calculation was (top+bottom)/4. Still it’s only 4lb difference. In this case.

from what I understand the bottoms should be somewhat stiffer than the tops

Rebound is it too fast or too slow? Bouncy or packing? Are you using the crossover plate on your 100/125? Presuming these are 12" springs.

the shocks are packing if anything but it is bouncy over the whoops but I attribute that to not having full travel.
my shocks are 12" fox I believe I went with 10" on the top and 14" bottom
I have very little preload on the springs.

Here is a base line graph for shock at Zero pre-load with a cross over point of five inches.
This just gives an idea how they relate.
just some FYI
I know you already bought spring so this is just for others to follow

I am not sure what ply the tires are that I am running. they are mud lites, and I run around 10lbs in the rear. I agree that stock rear shocks are way to stiff, but I have works triple rate springs. only thing that wasn't quite right was I only had 200psi in the rezzie, and it should of been 250. this made it even softer of a spring

So that setup won’t work with a 12” bottom spring which blocks at 8.5”. The co needs to be later than 5”. Probably 6” for 12” spring.

Hence I ordered a 14” spring. Also hoping the 64lb will be better suited than the 44lb around corners as with 44 it feels far too swaying, grippy, and I can’t slide the rear at all. Pushes way too much. I like more solid like my stock travel works Pilot.

My question though; how do I know what bop I need to support coming off say a 5 or even 10 foot jump? If the machine rear end weighs 500lb weighted at ride position what will it be coming down hard?

I think I feel good about what I’ve ordered. 175/100 to make 64lb/100lb. Gets me 50% more poundage at initial ~3-4” and working crossover for 2x more stiff after. That’s a big jump from where I am today but I think it needs it bad.

Btw, I just scored a complete Rotax kit for this pilot. Full kit from Farr. Never installed. From a forum member. Probably going to be heavier. Oh well. Tinker tinker!

nice score!
I have that Tach but have not figured out how to make it work on my 670, there is a plug with 2 contacts on mine, as I do not have the sled wire harness it is not a plug and play and I have not had a tach on a 2 stroke before, what I am used to is a plus voltage, a ground and a tach signal from the coil, I tried feeding it with 12 volts and probing the 2 contacts on the coil with no luck unless you consider no smoke came out lucky :-)

I have a 5 gallon spun aluminum gas tank with a sump if you are interested, you would have to get the clamps, $100 plus shipping

I’ll let you know. I’m getting a tank here pictured. Lots of other things too all stilll bubble wrapped. But not sure how anything is going to work with my roll cage.

I think you will be able to use both the radiator and gas tank. The mounting brackets for the radiator will be an issue with the cage but maybe they can be modified? I have not seen the mount for the tank so I can’t speak on that. Post some photos when it all arrives. I bet it will be really close and maybe need to make a few brackets.
