Holy cow. Super fun! Front suspension works very well and the raptor 660 shocks seem almost perfect. Was worth the quick swap. Carbs need tuned as they were flooding but I wanted to run this thing super rich to be safe at first. Will change jets and needles. Looking in the manual for the 93' yamaha 570 I read that removing the factory airbox will " as it will run too lean". Seemed pretty reasonable to me for obvious reasons so I will be doing conservative tuning. I took paddles off a cheetah cub banshee and thew them on here as I was too lazy to have my dirt tires swapped out. I think that my 8 paddle 24" tires will be a much better fit for this thing. More ground clearance, float, gearing etc. Stock clutching lets this thing RIP from a stand still but top end it REALLY lacks any speed. Time for some research on that. Support bearing looks good- no wobble and belt engages well. Maybe ill get the brakes figured out once I can source the levers that go on top of the brake cylinders and connect to the cables as I lost mine. Oops. Was too excited for a shake down. Who needs brakes anyways. The factory front ody hoses will work perfectly with the front banshee disk brakes. Heat wrap on the exhaust worked well. I am very happy with the temperature, even almost touching the seat. I can rest my arm on them. Will source limit straps to save the rear shocks. Rad fan. Lights. Bunch of frame and shock mount reinforcement. Paint. Body pannels. But felt good to ride it.

Looks pretty cool. Yes brakes is a good idea.
If you can change the front camber it will help it turn better if your having any issue there, love the pipes. Does it sound like a banshee. All these twins are making me want to keep mine and do swap. Just getting to old
Gotta feel good to just get out and rip it around.

You need to get a fan if you can quick. Without a fan, snowmobile Engine heat tends to run away. When my fan stoped working on one of my Rotax swap it hit 220F really quick. Americanvolt.com has thermo switches for any of your plans. 12" standard fan from eBay is like $25 and they work fine.

For your gearbox, make sure you over-fill with good oil. Over-fill it right to the top. About 2-qt. This will insure your nice new expensive input shaft and needle bearings are resting in oil, and getting the much needed lubrication at all times. I over-fill mine until the oil comes out of the fill plug! I use RedLine Shockproof Gear oil. Either the heavy-weight or light-weight are both very good protective oils for gears and bearings.

You may need clutch adjustment... I thought I did, it would get up out of the hole so quick, almost violent but seem to fall flat. I grabbed my gps and then my potable Nav and found it was not falling flat but nearly maxed out. 55 or so and given my ski Doo clutch settings I only had a little left. Maybe that is what you’ll find. Sled power is amazing, enjoy it, flog it and keep it cool!

Yes it sounds like a throaty banshee. Pretty neat. Once I get the fueling worked out I will bring a GPS with me to test speed as well to figure out what I want to do with clutches. Good idea. I doubt I ever moved faster than 35-40 mph. My civic radiator came with a fan that I will be installing when I button up the wiring. May not turn on very often as it doesn't get very warm where I ride. I found that the fl350 trans only holds a little less than a quart so I put the whole bottle in. I decided to run a lighter weight oil and overfill and see what happens. I may try more oil if it seems to be warming up too much.

Thanks guys.

What Engine rpm are you reaching at speed? If not sure, I suggest a Koso Dual EGT with water temp and rpm gauge. All in one. They work
