I ran mine with keyways and roll pins. Worked fine for the several hundred miles we put on it.

I believe they were 1/4" keys, 1" long.

I was nervous about it for a while till I put a 300lb man on it for a full day of riding. And of course the friend wasn't careful, held up just fine.

Finally brought it home! Everything seems to work as it should. Water cooled head works too! Got full hydraulic brakes front and rear now. Now time to beat on it a little before i tear it down for paint.

Wow nice work.

Any videos of riding? You'll probably want even MORE power down the road. Time to start researching a Rotax.

Thanks man. Having a hard time posting a video. I gota say im impressed with a stock 250. The thing is already pretty quick! Im sure the lighter chassis helps. I redesigned my watercooled head. Hope to start making them for ppl. First one just seemed a tad overkill! Ill have to make another when i do the elsinore build. In the process of resleeving that jug now.

Welp resleeve was a success! For those that don't know these cylinders have the cast iron sleeve casted into them so you cant just press them out. So made a fixture and with some help dialed it in the lathe and machined a 4 thou interference fit. Popped it in the oven and froze the sleeve and pressed new one in. Next step matching up all the ports which were all pretty close. Im running a running a reed cage so next i did the boost ports on the mill. Ill post a pic of the piston im going to use soon. Came with the windows already and centered ring gaps.

Getting closer. Got the jug back from the machine shop. Starting from a stock bore now! Cleaned her up real good and started assembling. The ring gaps clear boost ports which was my biggest worry. Now i just need to decide on what carb to run. Im thinking a tm36 maybe a 38
