1990 Pilot recently purchased (at one point redskinman machine).
Has long-arm front with Works shocks
Has CW racing build (400 head bored to 500, if I understood that right)

I'm still getting to know it.. but started with long overdue rebuild of shocks.. that led to front-end.. then rear..
After some research finally figured out is a discontinued long arm kit with rack and pinion (guys used to be out of San Diego)

Will post some progress pics..

Thanks to all you that contribute here.. it is very helpful.

"Will post some progress pics.."

Please do!

I believe the 500 kit from CW was a custom sleeve from LA Sleeve to achieve the 500 bore size. ATV Racing also made a 500 kit that grafted the CR500 jug to fit the FL400 bottom end. Curious what you have there.

Years back I had the same m0t0r in a long travel pilot
Stock 400 cylinder punched out and sleeved for a CR500 piston

I talked back then with Chris from CW Racing who (if I recall Correctly) said he never built such machines

I did a bunch of modifications to keep it running, search this site for Bad500

Well, been long time coming.. but re-installed the front end on the Pilot..

However, I believe the right steering knuckle is bent.. Look at the grease fitting in relation to the wheel.

From what I can tell, these are also NOT stock FL400 knuckles..
Anyone have luck bending them.. just a little bit..?
