 Post subject: Super vs Beam front end

Hoser, here's the two different types. The older beam style could be easily cut off the frame and put on the newer super beetle pan.

i agree 100 percent it could be done, but not easily.. any rust etc would very much hinder reweld on the main chassis...

So only the super beetle had the strut in the front, what years do I avoid?

i think but don't quote me, 1971 and up, super beetle was an option..
