Yes. It will be saved. Maybe not to factory fresh condition but it'll be running/driving at some point... I just broke the driven clutch and the steering components free yesterday (rusted) so we're already making progress! I have a buddy who is going to weld a new full belly pan on so I should be able to get the tub relatively water tight again.

I found the original wiring harness so I should have the wiring figured out. I still need:

At least 1 rim
starter solenoid
steering wheel (5/8 shaft)
a lenght of #40 chain (to get full time 4wd working)

Hopefully the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) won't give me hard time - I'm taking a chance running it "as is" because when I got it I dumped a decent amount or water out of the bottom end. It wasn't total rusty sludge and it moves freely so I'm not about to do a rebuild...

Keep pouring in 5wt oil in the bottom end and turn the Engine over a bunch of times then dump out, do this until its clean.

I hope that Engine I have under the bench is the exact same, I don't know the internal condition but it does run.

Making progress... over the weekend I decided to figure out why the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) wasn't getting spark. Turns out the points were rusted pretty badly and one set had a busted spring. Luckily, I received an additional set of points and a flywheel so I swapped out the set and WE NOW HAVE SPARK!! This achievement motivated me to bolt on the exhaust manifold and carb and try to fit it into the chassis to see if I could fire it up. Well that didn't go so well. Seems I may have to fabricate a new mounting plate... link to a few pics below.

Sorry to report that I have made absolutely ZERO progress on this. As a matter of fact I'll most likely put it up for sale. Anyone interested?? $400 takes the whole bucket of bolts.
