Well I guess this is my proper introductio to the board. I bought my odyssey almost two years ago. It was a roller in ok cond, I sold my dirt bike to buy a stock Engine and I was off. In my first race I made it 3/4 of a lap and blew up my first motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )). Well after going through 3 more rebuilds I decided to do a moto swap. I found my 2001 polaris 600 on EBay and Did a pretty good job on the install for my first one(nothings broke yet). On my first time oit first a test ride, I was loving it for about an hour the I spun a bounch of teeth on the primary and other gears in the stock trans.
So It was 4 weeks to the start of the VORRA season and I was in a pickle. I contacted RPM and he said it was too much money for him to make a box for me, so after hours online I found a thread ripping on these guys called team moto, they had just what I needed a FnR CVT gear box that run 930 cv's. I spent many nights getting every thing togather. I made a three link in the rear and whent through a couple sets for the rear shocks before i got my fox airs. It has been bullet proof for almost a year now and I am happy with the way it handles.

I'm getting 9.5 inches in the rear and 11 in the front. team-moto.com is a company in MN. There is a lot of smack being talked about them on other boards. But oddly enough none of the people are actual customers. I've been running there gear box for almost a year now with no problems.

Team-moto seems fine to me, good price and one of my friends who ordered a box hasnt had a problem in 2 years now of hard riding.

Looks kick ass Buggy =)

Yep it sure is a copy of the RPM box and if I can save a buck for buying a product that has been "ripped off" from someone elses idea than I goin to. This box has been working with no problems so far. It's standing up to my 600 polaris a whole lot better than the stock tranny and axles did. But I'll be sure to tell the board as soon as it breaks cause every thing usually does.

From what I've heard the trans is pretty good. Have not seen one yet. I was considering it for the kz750 ody project. 9:1 ratio here is the link

That must be the guy that Dan Roberto picked up one of his gear boxes and threw it at a buggy show, guess he should have patent his design.

Every time I have called or emailed Roberto about a trans he could never give a delivery date, I am not surprised to see someone copied his trans since he cant keep up with demand.

Well what kinda details do you want my friend. Unfortunatly there was no kit. I had to play it by ear and do some R and D. My first shock setup was the great est , I used my works shocks in the rear and I was over extending. So I chewed up 1 CV and axle. But I worked out the bug and got some fox airs and with the help of my buddy got every thing worked out ok. But I had to redo all the mounts for the rear link 3 times before i got it right.

Any that you can give actually. If I lived closer, I would give you a FL350 frame so you can show people step by step how to do these types of modifications. To be honest, that would be a 350 lovers dream... The front suspension looks mean and incredible to me.

Well I wished I kept a photo journal when I did the front But to tell you the truth I didn't take a single photo. I was just exited to get it done and try it out, lemme tell you what a differance! I can tell you that I used EX400 AArms. I found that I had to use the hiem style aarms it wonld have been very tough to get the mounts right with the bushing type aarms. I got the spindles, brakes, and some used ex 400 shock off ebay for prety cheep. I later got some better Aarms and Elka's. The tough part was doing to bump steer. I had to noch the frame to get the tie rods up higher. I used an idler arm off a arctic cat sled and modified it slightly I ended up just using the bushings and making a plate out of 3/16 steel cause I kept bending the old stamped steel. The steering hold up pretty good it gets a little bent up sometime but it has never failed.

Darn, I know that any instructions to do an a-arm install would be a great asset to me and anyone else with a 350... im trying to do one on mine, but the no-knowledge factor comes into play way too much, lol

Well if u have a decent welder, grinder, a tape measurer and a few basic skills then your well on uyour way. I had a plasma cutter too, that made thing abit easier but it ended up breaking down after i finished one side so i used a cut off saw and a grinder to make all my tabs for the other side. I could take some measurment for you if you'd like. Let me know if you need some help.

You just gotta dig in Twilight. The first thing I did was cut off the J arm mounts so that I couldn't turn back. Do you have your A arms yet. I would suggest to start with the front mounts and work back. i did it backwards and my buggy got about an 1 1/2 longer. As far as the steering, It's not that tough to figure out I got all the parts for that for about $200. I just had to hack the S#@* out of the frame and reenforce it all back up.

Yea buddy, I mounted my hole shot to day and took the buggy riding for about an hour in the snow. It sure is fun sliding around on the wet pavement. Sure am glad I got my buggy ready for the races in a couple weeks. I'll try to get some good pics or video if we don't get rained out.
