My wife has started a new project (actually my daughter started this,’ I want to raise a calf for 4-H’ but we all know how this goes). As of last week we have 2 calves, one was a week old when we got them, the other 3 days. Currently we are bottle feeding them 3 times a day.

Maybe next summer (summer of 2009) I will have some prime cuts to bring to ECJ.

File comment: This Bull "Zorro" was voted Fighting Bull of the Year!!! The Arena I am in was 75 feet by 75 feet... He too used to be a cute bottle fed baby calf!!!

She will enjoy them though!!! I raised hogs in FFA never had a place to keep the cows... Yesterday I rode thru the pasture and have green stuff on the fenders, and was glad to be wearing googles LOL
Good luck with the Steak dinner...

Update:

Just back from the county fair,
White cow = 3rd place total weight gain dairy feeder (out of ~300 animals).
Black and white cow = 3rd place in its weight class

Brought them back to the 'farm', another 8 months and it's steak time.
