Am I missing something here? What does he have to be mad about if he is selling you the molds? He if obviously not planning on making them or he wouldn't sell the molds. But I might have missed something.

I'm with you, that's why I loaned the lid to Mario to begin with.

Hell, I didn't even know Bill had the lid mold (or at least I don't remember knowing......).

If I had known I'm not sure I'd care since nothing's been done with them in 3-4 years since Vrooms guy threatened to destroy the molds.

If Mario want's to make a profit on them that's his deal, I just want a couple for our two remaining pilots and the original back when he's done. After that I hope he makes a 100 of em because I know there's a demand for them, the price is the limiting factor though.

I find it strange that people will pay 500-600 bux for new polished aluminum wheels and tires, but won't spend 100-150 for some useable storage.

Wow if you are being nailed for pirating.
I wonder how many people I pissed off ? making and copying stuff
I would say continue on your own avenue. keep trying to get it on your own ! :-)

It not about the money it about the learning and the accomplishment that you did it all on your own.
then and only then you will have a smile or grin on your face. :-)

But if you think that you are obligated to purchase this persons molds that sat and did nothing for 1 to 3 years
then it's your money.

I will tell you this if any body wants prints of what I have made for the POOA here I will give them to them for free.
because it will only help to keep pilots and odysseys Alive !

I only make the stuff here to help out !

I'm with Ody_Stable

wow sorry for the rant

I am surprised that Bill may be upset-some time back I personally financed this project through Bill and it never got off the ground. I was refunded my money that was put out but Bill's vendors he had contracted withto make the lids werent coming through with them, and the 3 or 4 that they had made for him were inferior at best(as described by Bill).I do remember he was having a very hard time locating the hinges that were used on the previuos batch of lids, this project we had tryed to start went for some months before it stalled-I haven't tryed since to start it back with Bill as I know he had relocated and was starting a new carrer as well during the time of the project-He did have a fab-glass guy interested but I think he went out of bis as well so Bill was trying to but getting nowhere with it.
I would be interested in getting this project up and running regardless of who is actually doing it-Bill or you-perhaps I'll buy the molds from him if you don't want too as I have many glass guys here that would do it for me and the 425 won't hurt me at all either-let me know if you need me to take over on this.

Im finally getting some progress on the lid part of the compartment at least. i will continue too work on this project until i finish at least two or more compartments.

Im doing this for trade,to improve my skill and most importantly for fun.

I think their is a green light for anybody to buy the molds and start production.

I was making the mold out polyurethane. now Im trying fiberglass.

I was using a mold release we use at work. vaseline works a lot better.

somebody change the resin on me. that was my curing problem.

still making progress

Ok after many tries things are finally looking better.

Im buying some red pigment and some gel coat. I think the gel coat will make all the difference.

i think i need to recast the main mold. the one Im using has minor imperfections that keep duplicating on my part.

THANK YOU very much for your patience ody-stable.

check the pic

I spray painted one black to see the defects

the other one is silver but sanded both are made with epoxy.

yes this is still going it took me a long time to make something presentable.

trade or cash is good for me. Parts for fl250 I prefer

I have no hinge or lock (cant find a supplier) Ill take ideas as an alternative if anybody got any.

I could make them in lots of colors(color matchings is expensive but possible)

How much?

You talk to Bill Keefe about the hinge and locks pretty sure he has some and has the info to the supplier where he got them.

No doubt I would want a red one but if it came white gel coat I could always paint it the color I wanted.
