I thought I would post my $300.00 FL350 Project. I have been buy parts for it for the last few days. I will start by taking everything apart next week to sandblast, after it is blasted I will start by welding up the TRX 450R A-Arms. I will need all the help that I can get so if anyone has completed one please chime in with advise and pictures. Thanks[/img]

I have not posted any updates on my FL350 rebuild lately, I have been busy on other projects and have been neglecting my newly powder coated frame by letting it set in the front yard for over 3 weeks. I will be back on the build next week and will post more updates.

Looks too nice for the front yard, I would be jealous if I lived down the street.

WOW Gene, that looks great. You were not just letting it set outside, you were allowing the paint to cure before putting it back together. LOL How much to have that done? All my ody frames are in dire need of something soon, they look bad.

I am still thinking about those Idaho frames, would you have a problem with me picking one or two up for myself for A-Arm mod projects?

Thanks,
Gary

Gary to have a frame Powder coated it will cost you around $300.00. If you want the contact info on the frames I will PM it to you. I did ask the jerk that has them would it be ok to pass on his info and he said he would let them rust into the ground before he would sell them to anyone. if you have any luck with him keep me in mind. Thanks

Gene

I have that Bolt Kit too. Nice stuff.
I use them on non-critical components.

I second massody on the bolt thing. Don't use them on the roll cage. That set came with my pilot. I questioned the quality of fasteners a few times.

is that the bolt kit they sell on ebay?

Whats wrong with the bolts, are they just low grade cheap metal or such?

I think that they are as strong as the stock bolts. I have a buddy that owns a machine shop and we are going to do a strengh test later today. I will let you know how that turns out. as of right now I am happy with the SS kit. I paid $139.00 for them and that is a bargin.

I have a cousin that works for FASTENAL a industrial supply company. He says that the process used to make stainless steel, actually weakens it. So according to him, a grade 8 bolt of the same size will have a higher tensile strength and shear rating than a stainless steel bolt of the same size. That was how he explained it to me. There is probably more to it, but he dumbed it down for me. For some reason every one feels the need to dumb it down for me. :-)
