This little rail is currently running a stock 1600 dual port type 1 VW & IRS trans. with 3+3 boxed trailing arms. I bought it as an unfinished project that I hope to have on the sand very soon. Yesterday it was transformed from drum to disk brakes on the rear. New polished billet sliding peddles also were installed with a new hydra. slave cil. to replace the cable system it had. A new battery tray was fabbed and relocated to allow for more suspension travel. Today I hope to have the new rear coil over shocks installed on a much improved mounting. Plumb up and bleed the new hydraulics. I have much to do to get it ready for the weekend. Much more to do once I get back. I'll keep you posted.

No problem adnoh. If we get favorable weather this Sat. I'll have it at L.S for you to look at it.

I'm a pretty good packrat as I don't throw to much away. This car had one brand new drum and the other is fair. Backing plates, wheel cyl.s and misl. parts all good. Hoser,If you need something from it let me know. I only have one friend here that has the drum brakes on his car.

I'm very new to these VW engines. I've heard people state various HPs from 40-60 hp for stock and the sky is the limit for one modified. It's incredible what is offered for them to make HP. My purple car has huge aftermarket heads and a long stroke crank. I pretty sure it's got a fairly high lift cam as well. The 45 dual Delartos are some of the best carbs. money could ever buy. Unfortunately I don't think they currently make them any more.
