Muffler is just on temporary , it was the stock muffler from my 97 KDX200, put it on so the neighbors wont freak out when I am running the odyssey :-)

I never had a problem with my other fl350 with a gravity feed tank, I have very good fuel flow with this setup , it has a lot more flow than the fuel line on my 85 250R atc and it does not have a fuel pump on it, my kdx200 does not have a fuel pump and neither does m sons blaster.
I will keep an eye on it though .

I don't want to use the the old stock muffler,I hate the sound of them and they are heavy. I have an FMF muffler that I can put on it when I take it out to play but want to get on that fits it better.

got a few more things done today, got the front brake lines hooked up,put on a new e-brake cable, bleed and adjusted the brakes, got the seat installed and seat belts and did a front end alignment .

need to get some paint so I can touch up the blue since it it scratched and scuffed from being moved around for a couple of years.

it should be about ready for a test drive.

That's a nice looking machine. You and your son did good. He can be proud.
When you said blue earlier in the post I didn't think it would turn out as good as it did. Looks great.
Noticed your running the stock muffler now.

Bob, denuch also has a 350 with a gravity tank w/o a fuel pump. He has run it for over 2 years without a poof kaboom. Not too many here believe me but it's true.

You can gravity feed if the carb is properly setup for gravity feeding, you need to change the fuel inlet seat they have a smaller hole for pressure feed VS gravity feeding, usually everything is fine until you get into a situation where the Engine is under a heavy load for a long time like going up a 300-500' tall sand dune then it bites you, slow paced trails like at the badlands or the cliffs might be ok...

I always suggest people keep using the fuel pump setup so their is no risk and less of a learning curve.

Hoser hit the nail on the head. Short full throttle busts won't reveal the fuel delivery problem. If you have the opportunity to run full throttle for long distances, you would run the risk of fuel starvation. I couldn't use gravity feed where I ride. I ride a lot of very fast fire roads up here. I ran full throttle without letting up for over 2 miles at Walker Nevada trying to run down 2 idiots on quads that took the wrong road. Even with a fuel pump, the whole time I was paranoid! Got a great opportunity to read my plug also!

Ok this is very true! I'm a sand dune virgin cause there are none here in the flatlands!! I can see it running out on long runs or up steep hills.

The last time I had it out I rolled it in a rock pit and damaged the roll bar and gas tank.
I replaced the gas tank and hooked a fuel pump up,still need to make a mount for it, replaced the roll bar and got a new safety harness and some new lights.
Painted it black and gold.

Time to hit the dunes :-) ::-:

I would recommend removing that tube padding on the Frames when not in use
as that stuff tends hold water

I have a frame in the shed that I came across 6 years ago, It was a roller only
but I thought it may of had potential it had wheels, shocks, trailing arms, steering
wheel, J arms, foot tub, seat, and it 2 had that Tube padding all over it

Got it home stripped off the tube padding Frame trashed moisture had eaten
into the frame

After a ride I strip all my paddings and coil overs covers off.

If not in use strip them down give them the naked look. :-)

Make it part of your prep before a ride.
