I bought this frame for $100 last year for my son so we could do a father and son project :-) I thought it would be a good way to teach the kid how to do some wrenching and to show him how engines, trannys and everything else works on his odyssey.
After buying the frame I started to gather parts needed for the rebuild but of course the company I work for closed in june so that kind of screwed me on having extra money for buying parts, so I desided since we have warm weather now and I have lots of free time it would be a good idea to paint the frame and any other parts that need painted.
this will be a very long project, hopefully I find a job soon so I can get more parts.

My son wanted it blue, I mean everything blue but I talked him into doing the suspension parts gold like they are from the factory and a few parts black.

Bob

got the front arms, hubs and drums painted today, also replaced the brake pads and springs with new parts I had. took apart cleaned and lubed the seized brake adjusters, nothing like trying to adjust your front brakes and not being able to move the adjuster.
I will need to get 2 bushing and 2 dust seals and a ball joint boot before they go on the odyssey.

Thanks Mozzy, I can't wait to see it finished also, I have been looking at that bare frame in the garage for way to long.

I hear you loud & clear, Bob.

I too am sick of seeing mine just sitting there long enough to develop cobwebs while I save up to get things done.

Had the kid bolt on a few parts today, I figured we should get all the parts we do have on the odyssey so we can see what we need and make a list of parts to start looking for.
I put the gear box in, it was a bit heavy for him to get in, and I didn't want him to scratch the paint.

Thanks for the comments, I will be waiting to get My sons Engine built and get my spare Engine done also.
Here is a pic of the engines sitting on the shelf in the garage, the Engine will be the last thing done, I want to get the front suspension done and get shocks so I can get the frame rolling so I can move it around.

Got the front bumper and the steering column on, put some junk tires and wheels on the back so I could roll it out of the garage and clean the floor, now it looks like a low rider since it does not have the shocks on the back :-)

I really like it. I do like the shade of blue. What color of blue is that? My son wants his done in blue next spring so I was thinking about how to do it. I am not a paint and body guy but I do have spray guns, outside sand blasters and a sand blsaster cabinet.

Thanks Nuke Em, No fancy paint here just just about 7 cans of spray paint and 3 cans of primer
It is Rust-oleum METALLIC, It looks even better in person, It has silver specks in it.

Got the left side front arms on today

I Need 2 J arm bushing ,2 outer dust seals and a ball joint boot to put the right side on, so if anybody has them for sale let me know, I tried to post on the FOR SALE section but for some reason I can't post on that section, I keep getting a page that says (the web address you entered is not available) I can post in all the other sections except that one

Put the rear metal brake line on the odyssey then found out that the rear rubber brake line was cut  more parts I have to get.

Bob, looking good! Might also want to stuff some rags or paper towels or tape up the cylinder openings. Keep out the dirt/dust....

Thanks, I brought the cylinder's into the house a couple of weeks ago so they wont rust during the winter in the garage.

Finally got around to getting some parts after moving twice, got the seat and foot tub off ebay about a month ago.

Picked up a bunch of stuff today off craigslist :-)

I got two engines, one is suppose to run, the other needs to be torn down, one Engine has a comet 102 clutch that's in great shape. lots of duplicate parts, 2 CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) boxes, 2 voltage regulators ect.

some of the parts are toast but most look usable

I checked ebay for prices and a new comet 102 was $400 and one used CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) box was $155 for the cheapest one, I paid just a little more for all of the stuff :-)

took part of the bad Engine apart today.
I see they did not drill the holes in the piston, pulled the reed cage out and found lots of metal, pulled the head and found the toast piston, no damage to head, will have to take the bottom end apart next to get it all cleaned up
might have to pull the top end off the good Engine to see if anything has been done to it.

finally got around to working on the fl350 again, got the Engine mounted and running, bought a new aluminum gas tank since the ones I had were toast,, bought some fox shocks off a snowmobile for the front since they are what I had on my other fl350 and the worked great, still need to hook up the front brake lines and get a muffler, I have the stock muffler off my 97 KDX200 on it for now, need to buy a seat belt and get a fitting to hook up a hose to the air box since the fitting is missing on the box.
I put pilot tires and wheels on it.
need to put the head net on.
need to buy a parking brake cable.
On the gas tank I put a 3/8 ball valve and a 4" 3/8 brass pipe, I figured the brass pipe in line would help keep fuel in the line if the tank is low and I get on a side hill, I don't know how well it will work put I figured it would not hurt, I have very good gas flow when I open the valve.
bought a new battery on line and it was too tall so I just modified the battery holder, need to figure a way to secure it better than a bungie cord
I am sure I missed a few thing I need to do but that is most of it.
