I bought new Holeshot XCT tires on OMF Beadlocks, added a bump-steer setup to correst the
heavy toe-in, and revalved my fox Air shocks. I was waiting for cowboy, but couldn't wait any
longer as we tried everything we could to reach hium : -(
I changed my shims from 40-60 to 60-90, and added a 4" spacer to reduce the shock travel.

If you remember the crash pics,,,,,,, my tires were VERY toed-in, about 2-3" , should be a very
BIG change. I have almost no change through the entire suspension movement :-) took some
time to do, but seems well worth the effort ,,,,,,,,,,,

Drakman,

I have not driven it yet, still need to move the radiator from the sidepod up behind the airbox
to get better cooling. I installed a 3x bigger fan, but that did not help ??? so up to the top we go.
With all of this rain :-( i do not know if i will get a trial run before the races ??
I hope to be done with it soon,,,,,,,,, YES,,,, Bedford race is saturday, Spring Valley race is
sunday,,,,,,,,,,, 3 - 8 hour drives will complete our trip, almost a perfect triangle on the map.
Will give report ,,,, IF i come home in one piece ??? I do hope and pray that the new harness,
wrist restraints, and helmet support, keep me nice and snug as a bug in a rug :-) ,,,,,,,,, tom

Did you change the angle of the lower front frame so it don't dig in?

There is not much room for changing the angle. I tried to move the spindles forward adjusting
the inner front Heim joints, AND am adding a front skid plate. I am hoping that the new valving
will not kick the back up into the air any more. The Bedford track has 11 jumps, so practice
will give me an idea of what has been accomplished. No where left nearby to try it out ,,,,,,, tom

Hoser,
If you look close at this picture, you will see the floor pan sticking out 3/4" forward of the frame,
and understand why it stuck in the ground and flipped me a few times. The pan is now bent down
about 2" like a spoiler :-( Having a full skid pan up the front should be a good solution ,,, tom

That should help but how about a bumper that sticks out the front a little with a skid plate
so it will tend to put the rear end down when you nose in, I know my bumper has saved
me many of times, I cant count the number of times I had nosed the front of my Pilot
and the front bumper has deflected and not dug in, I might add that the bumper mounts
have never bent but I have had to remove the skid plate and pound it back flat about
a dozen times, in the sand it tends to bow in the skid, this has no happen in the dirt just
in the sand, the sand gives and as the frame goes deeper more force is put on the
skid and it bends...

I have been trying to figure out how to accomplish this. With my small 7.5'x10' trailer, i have
been limited for length on the buggys, because they have to sit sideways :-(
With the newer 18' trailer i can put them lengthwise on the trailer and need not worry about
the length anymore :-) Having a removeable bumper and skid plate would be the best setup.
I am not sure i will have enough time before the race to do that, and might just run the skid
plate up the front for now ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, tom
