Bad week :(. Stripped upper left ball joint threads. Gonna have to replace it and have the arm machined... Grrr... And also a tie rod end? wow! No matter, just do something you can handle well! So I've installed new front fenders. I just like the way they fit the body. Only 4 rubber coated collars and 2 custom brackets has been used and they are really well tightened. It's like they were made for it. They still have to pass the «pressure washer» test, but i'm sure they will. Hope it's gonna be easy like that for the rear ones. Not done yet: install inner mudguards for front fenders, patch shifter hole in right fender... and... and 2 left wing collars ;).

Cheers! Wishing you great fun fixing your odys till my next update!

Rear fenders are now on ;)

Also installed a Koso EGT sensor and it's working on well. Done many maintenance, oil changes, gas thank cleaning, greased everything, improved air box cap sealing and air flow (still have to see for the jetting), etc.

First road test is near now, as snow is disappearing really fast. I had my two snowboard sessions this year so winter can go away ;).

Here's some takes of the rear fenders. But I'm not yet finished. Still have to work on the seat and here and there...

Yep they're from a 400ex. They fit the body so well (and what about the color!) so it would have been nonsense to go with can am ones.

Well, thank you! Some may think I «profane» what a real Ody restoration should be, but most important thing for me is: now it have fenders!!!

Profane, not at all. If you want a stock restoration than yes. Once you go off resavation than go. Just think if Chip Foose said it should go back stock We would say chip who? Now will it bring as much cash as a stock restoration in a sell, depends. By chance did you see what the silver bullet of Weeds brought. Personaly, I like to see both. For me it the way it's done and how well it preformes. This is why I like Unique auto sport. They do a build that are off the self and have the ability to restore them to factory. Now that chrasftmans ship. I would say you have personalized your machine to a point that it can be restored to faotry yet being creative. Good for you. Plus I like the clean line the fenders add to the build.

Would you be able to take some clearer pics of the whole machine?

I'd like to get an overall idea of what those fenders look like on it.

Nice work, from what I can see.

Thanks.

Maybe I should start a new thread about my fenders. Pics of the whole machine before everything is on and done? humm... I don't like the idea ;)... But very very soon... Ok ok, maybe I'll take some tonight ;)

We're not so fussed about the rest of the machine yet, just your fenders. :-)

I'm not sure, I think I took them at Motovan, but I really don't remember. Easy to find I think, but usually longer than OEM, also the rubber boots are not long enough, so you'll have to find some (mines comes from a modular helmet mask...)

And about Batman... you guys are watchin too much tv!!! :-D

Yes. Don't for OEM ones as they seems smaller but those ones do job well, good rearview.

Ok, ok.

Motovan... When I'll have to change them, I'll try the ones just under them in the catalog page. 012-59230, 012-59231. Also note, they need a little mod.

****EDIT

Sorry I made a mistake!!!!!
Here is the good number: 59-25190. I do have a 012-59230 here and they look the same, except for the arm, boot and fixation (stronger than 59-25190).
