Finally got my reeds and carb top, so i finished of the vapor installation bolted in the reeds, put on the carb top, filled it up with fluids, put on a new battery, nervously pressed the start button 20 seconds of cranking to prime up the carb and she burbled into life. I let it warm up for a while until i saw 60c and then set up the tick-over and trimmed the air screw, ended up at the 1 1/8 mark. Need to do my 3 heat cycles to burn in the new piston and rings, fit all the plastics and take a lot of photos before it gets dirty and then go have FUN!!!!!!!!
And you can be sure i'll be posting up when that happens.

heres a few pictures of the finished job dressed in the old plastics, which although scratched up and repaired in places are perfectly servicable, i'm going to leave them on whilst i get used to how she handles as i wouldn't want to damage one because i got prematurely overconfident. I'm not sure its running right yet i have made a post in the Tech section, please take a look to see if you can help?

It looks nice setting on the pavers of the drive. Enjoy and inform us when you get it running good on how the vapor is working for you.

Took my Pilot out to get it dirty for the first time last weekend, i had forgotten how much fun these things are, it was basically a blast round a friends field but more than enough to my juices flowing. Im off to a larger area on the easter weekend and will post up the results of that trip.
I have managed to meet up with a bunch of like-minded lunatics who organise days outs and there are a few pilots within the group and one guy who has done a Rotax 793 (142hp) conversion on his, so i'm interested to see that
Heres a link to their web site i anybody if anybody wants to take a look at what we get up to here in the UK.
