well I just got me an fl350 from my uncle for FREE.,, truthfully i never even knew about these odyssey's and pilots. but I am really excited about starting this and getting back into some Sand action, lets see I used to have a yfz450 with a 523cc max cube and boondockers nitrous kit, a 660 raptor before that, I love the sand, just got out of it, anyways. here is a pic of when i picked it up and will continue posting as i progress. I want it done by at least by July, for Dune fest in Winchester bay,

this was a complet 350 but the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) was frozen and they left it in a bucket in the rain..:) so a motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) swap is going to happen I have a 570 Yamaha exciter motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) that's going in it, and I still have my stock yfz450 a arms and shocks so those will be going on the front. I am going to totally strip it down and do a total rebuild. paint plating etc.. mainly this is going to be sand only. but will probably try it in the dirt at least a couple times..

I have not picked the exact color yet but have some more PPG Harelequin paint i may use. or just powder coat... so far the website and forum has been a great tool for me to learn more about these things!...

Here are some more pics of the teardown. almost have it just down to a rolling chassis, then its time to mock up the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )), the yfz450 front suspension, then strip it all down and sand blast. im even thinking now of a lime green powdercoat on the frame? not sure yet. this of course is not a restoration, I guess we will call it a restomod just like my mustang :) enjoy the pics

Welcome to the board, Great score on the odyssey, FREE is a great price :-)
Good to se onther odyssey build.

Were are you located? Oregon? I see you want to go to Wichester bay, I think the last time I was there was about 28 years ago, when I was a kid our family spent most of the time south of there , we would stay at Horsfall campground with our VW buggy, lots of good dunes there.

I am in Washington state actually, just don't like the "litter box" dunes we have aka Moses Lake and Beverly :), we usually just drive to the oregon dunes, Florence, Winchester Bay, andCoos bay.. nice sand and its open areas.,

Free is nice that's for sure, it will help in paying for the upgrades :)..

as for the original Engine, my uncle through it away before I got this, in his mind since he was swapping the sled motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) he didnt need it.. I wish I would have known, or gotten to it earlier, but its one of those things, he is getting divorced after 35years of marriage and offing a ton of stuff, i actually picked up a fully restored 50's coke machine from him as well.. and maybe more stuff ahead. makes me feel sad but at least he knows its going to a good home!..

Are you missing the right rear fender?

I now have a full brand new set.

Probably could get another right rear from a guy I know, still in the OEM box brand new.

PM if interested.

here are some updated pics. just got it down to the rolling chassis. ready for the Engine mock up,,, i know im going to have to cut the down tube on the right side to clear. :( oh well i guess. nothing venture nothing gained!.... i just got all my parts for the yfz front end.. i needed the spnidles and the hubs. now we should be good for all of the mock up.
I will post pics of the progress as i do both the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) and suspension.

then I will strip it all down to bare frame and send to the sandblasters! cant wait ,Dunefest in Oregon is coming sooner than later :)... I want to have it done by early july and then tweak/tune it so its ready for the first week of August
