don't pull your pants down that far. Oddatv1 sells them used but working for $150 on Ebay. You can get them for cheaper if you just keep an eye out. They are interchangeable with other 80's atv's I just cant remember which ones. :shock:

Are we talking about the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) or the atv master cylinder hook up for the brakes. I have had a few cold one tonight. You can see from the other post that his breaks are using a handle bar type mater cylinder set up used for the front breakes for a bike or atv not stock 350

What we talkin bout Willis is a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). Yup no master cylinder. Hard part is trying to get Ebay sellers to ship overseas, some will, some wont. Hit and miss. I wish i could help on the master cylinder, the one I have needs work.

buying your master cylinder is still near the top of my list of things to buy..unfortunately theres no point stopping a 350 if you cant get it going. someone (a stupid local no doubt) has removed the original CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) and replaced it with a E-TON one (http://www.etonparts.com/electrical_components_50.htm) from a Viper RXL 50 quad bike. the guy who had it before me complained that he got it running once but the Engine kept bogging down; my guess is that the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) was the reason.

Ok I get it now. Thanks. Willis understand now. I find it interesting that an eton CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) even plugged in to begin with let alone fired.

the wiring is a bit of a mess with the E-TON in place. ive looked at wiring diagrams with an E-TON in them and i cant see how they've done it either. i would take a picture but i don't think it would help

ok, bought myself a new (used) CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). its on its way from the states as i type. however, i do have another problem... the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) has a round white socket and im guessing the standard wiring loom has a round plug that goes into the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) socket. i don't have that round plug so im going to have to wire it direct but i don't know where which wire goes. can someone please take a good photo or give me a good written description about where each wire goes on the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition)

IMO You would be better off finding a wire harness from EBAY and splicing the wires with a good plug...

i agree that would be ideal. however, shipping takes so long to the middle east and i doubt i'll find just the plug for sale and will end up buying a whole wiring harness (which i don't need).

a good picture is all i need and i'll match my wiring up.

Doh, i didnt even think to look in the manual. still need some help with what
IGN = ignition coil (black/yellow)?
EXT
SW = Switches (black/white)?
P.C
F.S
E = Earth (green)?

stands for...

why cant they just do exactly the same for the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) as they do for the regulator on page 15-3?

This is my take of the diagrams

IGN = Ignition coil Black/Yellow
EXT = Excitor Coil Black/Red
SW = Change Switch Gray
P.C. = Pulse Generator Blue/Yellow
F.S. = Ignition Switches Black/White
E = Ground Green
