Here are some pictures of the Odyssey my son and I are going to rebuild. He turns 10 in a couple of weeks and I thought it would be something we could work on together. The Odyssey has sat in a field for the past 20 years so it is a bit rough. My son went with me to pick it up and when I first saw it I didn't even want to bother with it. But my son looked at me and said "Dad that is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life! It may look ugly now but we can fix it up." So, I traded a case of beer for it. :-)

It needs a lot of work but most of it is there. The only thing (that I could tell) was missing was one of the back bars for the roll cage. Anyone know where I can get one?

We pulled the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) out and a friend of mine is rebuilding it. It was not locked up thank goodness!

Things it needs (that i know of):
Rear roll bar peice
Gastank
Tubes for the tires
Brake and throttle cables
Seat (old on is rusted)
motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) rebuild
Brake pads

We are going to strip it all down this weekend so we can start preparing the frame so we can paint it. Wish us luck and I will add more pictures as we rebuild it.

We live in Mountain View, Arkansas. My son is really into hunting. Ive been looking into fabing a rack so he can haul his hunting gear into the woods. Here is a picture of my sons bear he got last week.

looks like a good project
i have some FL250 spare parts that i would like to donate to your project if you want to come by and get them.
I am not sure that all will work with your model but i think it is worth a look
The flashlight is converted into a timing light.

Oldmanody,

Those parts would come in really handy on the rebuild. We will be in Tulsa for Thanksgiving. Do you think you will still have the parts then?

I haven't had a chance to take some pictures of what we have done so far but I will try and upload them this weekend.

Curtis I would like to here about the flashlight timing light and how to use it on the ody. I do belive it would make a great tech post for the 250. Thanks Rich.

The light for setting points is in the clymer manual. I could scan and post that section if you need it.
