WE GOT IT. Took the the main wires coming out of the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). Cleaned the plugs and the brass connectors. They were all tarnished. After that first pull and run like it did before. Whats funny is that I do not know why I cleaned them. Just ran out of things to try I guess. They were dirty or I did not have one pluged in right. This stumped me for 4 days. Got to love it right?

I can sleep now. Well that is until I tackle the clutching problems that I will most likly have.. I think I am going to machine the outer cam face to match the belt sizes.

To match the belt sizes this is what I did. I took 3/16 off the drivin clutch cam snap ring face. I also made a 3/16 spacer for between the faces. This opened the FL250 drivin clutch to take the wider 1 1/4" belt. My thinking was I can make the drivin wider without changing and spring rate or any other moving parts. I may of over thought it but it fits good now. As of this post I have not tested how it works yet. Stay tuned for that adventure. The good news if it does not work I can use the spacer on the cam to replaced what I machined off the of the cam. This putting the cam back to original size. I would need to machine a keyway in the spacer though.

So what do think of this mod? Do you think it will work like I want? Also I was told I can space the primary to run the smaller FL250 belt? Can you do this? I would like to try that if this does not work well. I would like this machine to have lots of bottom end power. I am learing tons about Odyssey's with this build. Thanks for helping me out friends.

Also about the saw harses and saftey? we did add a cross bar accross both legs to sturdy it up. I payed not to much attension to it until I thought about it more. It pays to be safe. Thanks for reminding me. Some times I can be bigheaded! LOL

Some pics, Any advice welcome. Good or bad. I just want a solid ride.

Got is on the ground and first test ride. Went great with even a few wheelies. I can already tell this thing is going to be nuts with no suspension. Maybe nexy winter I will add some. Almost done but we are making a big head rest slash clutch/belt guard. As it sits the clutch and belt are right at your left ear. Got to fix that for sure.

First pics of it out of the garage.

Is that a stock FL250 driven clutch?

That thing should put a big smile on the face of anybody that drives it.
