Also going to buy one of these Ballistic batteries to take 6-7 pounds off the rear.

Let us know how that battery works out. I was wondering about them myself.

Trail Tech HID's, 30 watts each. Going to put PIAA bulbs in the stock headlights that only pull 5 watts each and put out 60 watts so I can run all 4 at the same time.

Its not needed if your compression is under 170 psi. Just a waste of money

Those are Trail Tech lights? I have a set off my Pilot I purchased. What are they worth these days?

They retail for $375. I think the model number for these are SCMR16's. There is a newer version out now with a different lens and a better ballast inside.

My mechanic/partner says that race gas makes the Engine run smoother/easier which lowers the heat it generates. It has worked on all other 2 strokes we have worked on. I don't have enough experience riding this thing yet to know for sure.

The owner's manual say 93-100. In California, our 91 is crap in my opinion. Too many additives.

Thanks for your input! Always curious what everyone does fuel wise.

Thank you guys for the positive comments about the build! It took way longer than anticipated.

Has anyone monitored the cylinder head temperature? I just hooked up my Trail Tech Vapor. The hottest the cylinder head got was 178 degrees. Seems kinda low in temp to me.

The FMF Turbine Core I put on it got hot enough to melt the sticker on one side. Not sure if these stickers are just crap or if my silencer was getting too hot.

I know most everyone gets the Digatron and monitors the Exhaust Gas Temps, but this doesn't have a plug in as far as I know.

Anyone ever try cutting the copper spark plug sensor off and then wiring an EGT Sensor instead?

I'll have pics of the Trail Tech install shortly, it looks great.

The stickers are just crap. Mine burned off also.

Where do you have the head temp sensor mounted? Under the spark plug? If so yes, 178 is low.

Yes it's mounted under the spark plug. It wasn't working so I had to reset the Vapor and then it started reading the temp, but only at the end of the ride.

You have yours under the spark plug I take it, what is a normal temp? What's high? Thank you!

I believe head temp should be around the 250 degree range but I'm not sure if that's correct.

Can't help you with an actual positive correct reading, the Vapor for my Ody is for a water cooled unit and I am probably remembering what the temperatures were from the Vapor on my air cooled 400EX.
