Yes that was what the racers did when they removed their plastic for racing they took a hammer and beat that metal on the sides of the seat in for more room put the fenders on but turned out more and attached the end of the fender to the nerf bars, acted like the scoops like on the FL350, always made me wonder if Honda seen this mod and used it on the FL350 in production
