I just picked up another Pilot today.

Got a big problem.

The PB clutch has the center bolt almost buried inside the clutch to the point that I can bearly get a socket on it. My impact wrench will not budge it.

I'm at the end of known options (unless someone comes up with one by morning) and will be cutting it off with a carborandum blade tomarrow.

Had to cut off the domed cover to gain access to the center bolt only to find the threads to used for the puller had been hammered pretty well by the center bolt being loose.

I was able to reuse all but the distroyed domed cover of this PB clutch and simply used another cover I had to get the car back under it's own power.

Someday I may desire to remove this clutch so I'll have to restore these threads with a thread chaiser.

Trivia question to our panel of experts:
What is the bolt size and the thread pitch of the bolt used as the puller bolt on a Power Block clutch ??

I have this bolt and will take it with me to purchase the tap but I wanted to see if anyone might know what it is.

Lots of good reading here but no answer to the trivia question.

I see that others have experienced the same PB clutch failures as was on the Pilot I just purchased.

I figured it was caused by not being installed correctly but may not hve been the case.

Thanks for links Hoser.
