I was up at Nelly's place the other day to trade my manifold for his seat.(and take a look at his cherry fl350!) While there I spotted a hand made hood prototype he had made out of 1/16th aluminum. Would anyone be interested in buying one of these if he made some up?

Looks very nice on my Odyssey! I will be relocating my headlights to direct bolt on the hood.

I will leave it up to Nelly to decide on his price as I do not know anything about the work/materials that go into making these.

Better pics please, does it cover the front of the tub to hide a broken or damaged tub?

Hey guys, to be honest, I made this piece for my own project. It wasn't untill Tpreed stoped by and showed interest in it that we thought others might be interested in them as well. I have no clue what would be a fair price for these if I were to make them for others. I guess it would depend on the quantity interested as the meterial would be cheaper in bulk. Seeing as this was a 1 off prototype piece that I made for myself and never used, there are other things that would need to be finalized (Like how it will mount). Also I'd like to get input from those who may be interested as to how far up and down they would like this hood to extend. Once I can gather some info from those interested and figure out the best way to mount it, I can then come up with a price.

These mounts will work wonderfully! They come in bulk packs for that price it seems.

What kind of distance to the tip of your shoes/boots? I have been mocking up some different options too. :-)

Thanks,
Gary

that's great! I wear 12 boots and am having issues with my lid. I am working on lowering a couple of inches into the heel areas. Maybe should have raised to hood more. :-)

Got the hood prototype mounted up with rubber cushioned loop clamps. It only took four to proved a very solid hold. Gave it a brushed look with some scotch brite...

I tried making one out of some white plastic sheet yesterday. Made some side panels as well. They turned out pretty good. Just need to get some clamps and mount them up to see how well they will look and function.

I like your hood. Here's what I bent up for my 350. I should have made the front cover more of the tub I think.
