really glad you got it. I would have loved to pick that up as a project. was a nice score for sure!

what are your plans? Going to strip it down and repaint everything? If so, return to stock red and gold and black or leave blue and white?

Thanks nitro, think a complete respray is a must...it needs it bad. Going to paint the frame and air scoops Rustoleum blue, everything else original-ish colors.

I'll have it off this weekend. Think it will need a fresh bore/piston?

With these last picture's, I really don't know what I'm looking at. Been doing basic carb work and electrical work on atv's, but still have alot to learn about engines. But hey, you'll never know if you don't try right :-) ...

Thank you sir. Yep $850.00. Going to rebuild it from the frame-up. Just need to learn a lot more about these engines. :-)

that bumper looks fairly straight in the picture. i had assumed with the rest of the machine rough that it would be all smashed in! Looking good. cant wait to see it after fresh paint!

The bumper is pretty straight, it sure needs new paint.

Almost have everything off the frame:

Coming along good. I'm pretty sure you have to remove it, I can double check tonight. It shouldn't be too hard to get off. Nows a good chance to pull the driven and put never seize on the shaft for easier future maintenance.

Hey Fatcat,

Thanks, I was able to get it off the other night about an hour after I posted the pictures. :-)

Been distracted by some home remodeling. Finally made some progress today, sanded and primed the frame.

if you didnt cover the bolt holes before you painted.. make sure you chase out all those threads with the proper tool... I made this mistake once and smooshed the threads on tons of bolts!

This last weekend I installed the Engine, rear suspension, axles, front brake line and steering column. Been avoiding the front suspension as it needs a ton of work......need to stop procrastinating and do it :-) . Also need to break down the shocks and get them cleaned/painted.

Here's a few pictures:

Did you ever pull the cylinder for inspection? What did you find? I like the blue. Looks very nice.
