With my current fl350 project coming to an end, I'm thinking about taking on another project. I posted a want to buy ad for a fl350 on a local classified site. This one turned up, looks pretty ruff. The owner doesen't seem to know much about it. Here are some low quality cell phone pictures he sent me. Has a "Leckich" water cooled head.

He stated that it's in running order, asking $850.00. Looks like it needs a master cylinder.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

To be honest, id buy it for 850. Besides the head, its got a powerbloc clutch on it as well. If it were close to me id pick it up for a project.

Will, you guys have me sold. Hoping to look at it today. I think $850 is a fair price, but I'll see if I can talk him down.

Any other comments/advice?

Thanks ::-:

Is it just the liquid cooled head or is the cylinder liquid cooled too?

I have no idea. Most of the information I have is from the pictures.

Would that be something to be concerned about?

I wouldve already bought it if I was you. That's a very good liquid cooled head. If it has the liquid cooled jug that would be even better. Either way good buy.

If it was a liquid cylinder and head that would be a great score.

The head cooling fins on this one look different then the ones in the pictures.

Will, now the seller is saying that his neighbor had offered to buy it prior to offering it to me. So he takes the time to call me and ask if I would buy it, gets me pretty excited, now I have to wait and see if this other person wants it :shock: . What is with some people!!? I understand that if one say's they'll do something they should follow-though, but what the heck.

The sellers neighbor couldn't come up with the cash. Picking up the Odyssey this Saturday.

Can't wait to rip into this thing :-)

I think even if the Engine needed a rebuild you found a really good deal. I would buy it for that without question. Check the coolant level when you get there and look for leaks after a good ride. If it has a any leaks I'd use that to try to negotiate a better price. Either way I'd buy it anyway.

Thanks.

This thing is going to be a fun project. The compression test showed (124 PSI) the manual stated when new the Engine was (138 PSI), hope it's ok. Need to figure out the issue with the master cylinder. The rear left tire has a camber problem. The seller also threw in a original service manual, pretty cool if you ask me, master cylinder, Honda gasket kit and pattle tires/rims.

Would like to hear what you guys think. Comments/Suggestions......

Thanks. ::-:

Looks like a good buy to me.

Now would be a good time to remove the top end and inspect it if everything is ok all it will cost you is gaskets you already have them...

That's a good idea. The wife has me on yard duty today. I'll have it off tonight.

Be a good idea to pressure test it too before removing the top end.

Looks like you have a Power bloc clutch, that looks like its just a liquid cooled head both are a good score.

Stock carb?

I'll have to look at the links later, just taking a quick break from the yard work.

It looks like the stock carb. Let me take some more detailed pictures.
