Hi Folks,

I'm new here, and new to the world of Oddies. I've wanted one since I was 7, when they first came out, and the opportunity finally presented itself! I just acquired an '82 FL250 that works, but has seen better days. I have a bit of work ahead, but am looking very much forward to ripping up the trails in a couple of months. :)

I don't have any pics yet, but I'll snap some once I get the wheels back on (replacing the brakes at the moment). It has an interesting paint job: the cage seems to have been stripped, chromed, and painted with a candy of some sort. It looks neat, and I imagine somebody spent a pretty penny on it at some point. However, since I'll be setting this up for my daughter, it's going to get a "real" cage, and will likely return to all Honda red. Sadly, somebody painted the footwell with rattle can black, and that's going to suck to remove. :(

I've been perusing the site for a few days now, and I'm looking forward to getting into the world of 2 strokes. It's been a long time since I owned one (had a '74 H1 for a little while, and an '80 YZ125), and I miss the sound!

Cheers All,
Bob
