Hi All,

Not exactly sure how it happened but somehow I decided I needed another project. I stumbled upon an FL350 that had some Engine issues and thought, wow, I gotta have that! So a few more genius thoughts and some Youtube videos, I'm commited.

Now I have an FL350 and an Arctic Cat 600 EFI (hard to admit because I'm a diehard Ski Dooer) combination sitting in the pole barn.

The plans are this; I'm going to stretch the chassis about 2 to 3 inches. Remove the existing front suspension and install double A arms with long travel shocks. Probably design/rebuild the aft chassis to accept the Engine comfortably and incorporate a log travel rear suspension. I've got a couple different concepts that I'll be mocking up soon.

I know that I should have held out for an FL400 that already has nice suspension but that would be too easy and I'm not normally the guy that takes the easy route. That's OK because for me the fabrication is the fun part. I look forward to hopefully getting to know some of you and I'm sure I'll be hitting up the Tech forum soon.

Cheers, Gordon

welcome to the site and good luck with your project. post up some pics and keep us updated on your progress. you may want to see some builds that AKPilot did, stretching a pilot frame and swapping engines.

Welcome to PilotOdyssey.com

Sounds like a intresting project please post lots of pictures and details.

Years ago FL670 installed a 600 EFI in a FL350 was the "white knuckle machine" :-)

Thanks for the welcomes.

I won't be starting this build for a couple more weeks. I'm trying to get sleds put back together before the white stuff flies. Really looking forward to it though and am currently playing with mockups and parts research. Here's some pics of what I'm starting with though.
