Hello,

I am new to the odyssey scene but am fascinated by these machines. I recently picked up the unit below. It is an all chromoly tube chassis with ohlins shocks front and rear. It also has a yz-250 watercooled top end that was mated to the odyssey bottom end. Supposedly this was a national winner back in the day. It needs some work, but overall is in good condition for its age. If anybody has info on this machine please let me know.

Thanks, Matt

Hello, and welcome to the site. What is your location?

There is another member here, "bighead" that has had some experience with the modified 250 ody's like yours. Also, hoser and shoubadaba have a great deal of knowledge on them as well.

I believe that is a challenger type? I have heard of the yamaha top ends mated with the ody bottom ends as well as the kawasaki top ends mated with the ody bottom ends.

Do a search and you should find the info you need.

Good luck!

Here is an article outlining this odyssey, the chassis was made by JR Racing, if I am not mistaken

Nice ride. I would suggest changing your steering setup. Run 2 short rods instead of 1 short and 1 really long one. If you hit a rock it will bend up the long rod and cause issues. There are quite a few people on this site that are familiar with that buggy and that is the steering they run.

Welcome to the site.
