Hello all,

Just registered as a new member and wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for several days now and figured that, if I want to get a lead on a good FL400 for a good price, it might be a good idea to interface with people who are Pilot lovers like myself.

I sold my very custom 1987 Honda TRX250R to a good friend of mine about a year ago, after I herniated a disk in my lower back and came to the realization that I could no longer beat myself to death riding racing quads. I've since realized that selling that quad has left a rather large hole in my soul. Despite it's immensity, my Honda Goldwing just can't fill this size hole. I have been in love with the Honda Pilot since I first saw one in the showroom back in 1989, but I have never taken the plunge and purchased one. I think I am now ready.

Just yesterday I thought that I had found a very nice FL400 in Phoenix AZ, but it turns out that the dealership had already sold it and simply didn't take down the ad they put on the internet. It was in great condition, for the right price, and it just so happens that I'm headed to Phoenix in a couple days, so I could have rented a UHaul and trucked it home. It broke my heart when I found out that they had already sold it.

So here I am, interested in purchasing a FL400 in good looking and working order. I'll probably create a post in the "wanted/for sale" section soon. I'm getting chemotherapy treatments at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale AZ (the reason for my trips to Phoenix) so I am dealing with a really tough time in my life right now, but my prognosis is good and I intend on purchasing, and loving to death, one of Honda's boldest entries into the ATV market ever. It's on the bucket list guys.

I look forward to conversing with all of you and maybe even getting to know some of you better...and maybe even doing buisiness with a few you.

Thanks for the welcome rarerat. I'm picking up lots of great info about the Pilot by reading some of the threads on this site. I can't wait till I have my own Pilot sitting in the garage. I'm ready to buy...I just need to find the right ride. The search is on!!!
