Hi guys, after a long time hunting for the right example i have finally got myself an FL400R, good non-abused Pilots are ultra rare here in the UK now so im pretty chuffed!

Long story short when i was a kid i always wanted one, never happened but now im 29 and had some extra money lying around i thought why the hell not, plus i have a one year old boy and this is a symbolic first birthday present, once he's old enough Max and dad can have a blast with it together!

I also managed to aquire a van load of spare parts with the Pilot which i haven't even had a chance to look through yet due to working for 4 days, off to the garage today to have a play and take some pics, hopefullyl i can post the spec and some snaps later on!

Lookin forward to talking to u lot.

Zak

Hi
Welcome to the site, congratulations on the Pilot purchase don't recall ever having a member from Scotland before post up some riding pictures most of us don't get to see that area much.

Also post up pics of your Pilot and the parts.

Thanks

Hi Hoser thanks for the welcome, as soon as i manage to get myself a trailer i will be touring all of the best spots in scotland with her hopefully so will have some pics and videos to upload asap!

The pilot from what i know is standard apart from the Paul Turner exhaust system and a Boysen airbox and intake.

Here are a few pics i took today whilst out working on her: (Big pic alert lol)

Image

The Pilot is very clean all round, took my years to finally source one here in this condition, looking good for 24!

Image

Got boxes of parts, loads of stuff still in original sealed honda wrappings, full genuined honda decal set, brand new spare upper and lower front A-Arms, two Powerbloc cluthces one new one with limited use, filters bushings nuts bolts x3 new genuine honda drive belts, plenty to keep me going for a while! Also have 3 sets of wheels with her one set of douglas rims, original steels and a set of aluminiums with sand tyres on them, not sure how much use they wil be here in scotland!

Image

Two aftermarket front bumpers? And standard muffler system. The left bumper is off to get powdercoated as i type this.

Image

Set of side nerf bars and rear bumpers, im going to repair a few kinks and dents in these before these two are off for powdercoating.

Image

Front and rear underbody protectors i think, also have the one for underside of driver seat but couldn't remember where i put it to take the pics lol

Image

Image

Pau Turner system, gonna strip this off and give it a coat of VHT back paint to freshen it up a little.

Image

Phew that's enough for now, i'll upload more pics as the project progresses! And once i can actually get out and have some fun in it!

Zak

This Pilot was originally owned by david_phillips95 who is a member here, Dave imported this to scotland from the states originally.

Hi Zak,

Glad you found your way to the forum and your enjoying the pilot. I ended up buying a quad not long after selling when I realised how much I missed it. We will need to get a day out sometime in the summer next year.

How did you get on with fine tuning the jetting?

Cheers,

David

Yeah the unpainted front bumper is a Speedchaser bumper for sure http://www.pilotodyssey.com/PO/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=10174

Your missing the radiator shroud plastic?

Look at the head gasket in the picture is it copper? If so is that a Honda part can you get the Honda part number off the package?

Yeah its a speechaser bumper i purchased and never got round to fitting...very well made and will look great when its coated.

Spotted the radiator shroud on the front seat in one of the pictures

You are correct the gasket is copper, its from a seller on ebay. I compared it with an OEM gasket i had at the time and its a perfect match...Really well made.

Yeah it was Curtis Wiedmaier who owns/owned Pilot & Odyssey Performance.
