Hello everyone,

I just got an 89 Pilot from an auction not to long ago, I just got it running the other day but tore it down for a top end rebuild as the compression was at 75PSI. Waiting on a right side transmission seal and the top end gasket kit and Wiseco piston kit to come in. I will be piloting this out at Armargosa Valley dunes when it is completed.
Reading through some of the message boards here I am looking for a front and rear bumper set up for the pilot. I also want to add disc brake front and longer front a arms, does anyone know if any a arms fit off of other quads like the 450r or something?
Thanks,
Crazyotto

Welcome to the site fellow Nevadan!

I passed Big Dune last Saturday on my way down to Phoenix and it looked like the place was packed! One of these days I'm going to have to drive down the road to the dunes and at least look at the dunes from a little closer than just from Highway 95.

Welcome. I wish we had dunes. Massachusetts sucks.

Thanks, The dunes do get pretty packed on certain weekends, other weekends the wife and I pretty much seem to get them to ourselves.
We used to go up to Gardnerville a lot as my son is a Marine that was stationed in Bridgeport but just got orders to Oklahoma.

We do tons of desert riding all around Vegas and Pahrump. We have great elevation changes and even weather changes. We have trails through parts of forest and even some water crossings. I can ride right from the house, all the roads in Pahrump have trails next to them. You are even allowed to ride on the roads (except rt 160 and 372) as long as you follow the rules and are safe. We have ridden from Pahrump all the way to Beatty, Gene, Goodsprings, Vegas, Sandyvalley, Indian Springs all offroad. We pack lunches and usually carry enough supplies to get us home. (I only had to call a truck and trailer to get me home one time.)

Do you have any GPS data on where you been riding I am trying to map out some areas, my daughter lives on the North West corner of Las Vegas I was going to start their and head West and your direction just not sure what is off limits or not.

I don't have any GPS coordinates as i don't carry one, as long as you stay on designated trails you should be fine.
