Hello all,

New member here from the Pacific Northwest, Oregon. I ride mostly Sand, but just spent 5 days up at Browns Camp which is all Logging roads/Trail riding. Had a great time over the holiday weekend except that my FL350 only made it about 10 minutes before she went kaput...

So, my story up till now. About 4 years ago I traded a Sand Rail for 3 FL250's in various states of repair. I figured I would fix them up for the family to ride. After doing so and finding that no suspension in the sand makes for a very uncomfortable ride I let them all go. I always wanted to give a FL350 a shot though.

Fast forward to a year ago I saw an FL350 for what was a decent price. $1200 bucks and supposedly it ran. Went and looked at it. Had most of the plastics but the guy couldn't get it to run. Got him to reduce the price by 200 and went home with it. Found it had no compression. Pulled it apart and the Exhaust flange gasket had let go (someone tried to just use black sealant...) and the piston melted right over the exhaust port. Well, I bought a new piston. The one in there was not stock. It was a 1.00mm? I matched the numbers up to one I found on the internet. I replaced the exhaust flange with a new gasket. Honed the casing and put it all back together. It has a really loud DG Exhaust. Cleaned the carb as it was pretty gunked up. What I didn't do that has me kicking myself is clean out the tank and replace the fuel filter. Also, I was mixing at 32:1 and the tank says 20:1? Anyhow, I got about 10 minutes of riding out of it before it seized for a moment and now wont start up. I have yet to check the compression but I took the head off and can see the cyl walls are a bit scored up. I think it leaned out because something plugged up the carb.

Oh, what the heck do you guys do to get that damn stock air cleaner on?? I swear I fiddled with that boot for an hour and gave up and just put on a different air cleaner.

So, I am looking for the following things if anyone has them in the PNW...
FL350 frame for another project. Just Cage/Frame. Though front bucket and seat are a plus...
Plastics that go around the steering column. I only need one half.
FL350 Right side mirror

Welcome to the board Ryan!

To start with, I have all of the parts you need including a frame that I will sell you. I will be in your area in about 2 weeks. I can bring it with me when I go up to ride with Duneit, one of our board members.

Are you referring to how do you attach the boot to the bottom of the air box?

Hi Randman!

Can you PM me pricing on the items?

Yes, referring to how to get that boot on the bottom of it. It's snug enough that it doesnt just slip on for me and it's so tight under there I cant get any leverage to work it on. Yeesh! :D

The easiest way I found to do this is with the air box loose.

1.) Remove the air box. Put a little Windex or glass cleaner on the outside of the neck of the air box. This will allow it to slip on but will dry after a while so it doesn't slip off.
2.) Make sure the boot (rubber intake elbow) is properly secured and clamped on the intake side of the carb and make sure it is pointed straight up.
3.) Place the air box in it's place leaving the mounting screws out.
4.) Remove the mesh screen inside the air box opening.
5.) Stick your fingers into the opening to pull the boot around the outside of the neck on the air box.
6.) Tighten the band clamp that holds the boot to the air cleaner.
7.) Screw the air box back into place.

I'll take pictures tonight of what I have and then you can send me a PM with an offer.

Rand
