Hello fellow gearheads. I first got an interest in Odysseys because my friend's dad had one when we were in elementary school. That was better than 20 years ago. I found this forum on the internet several years ago and have been reading various articles ever since, mainly out of curiosity being that I didn't own an Odyssey or Pilot. That was until fairly recently.

Several months ago I acquired an FL350 and although it needs some TLC, it sat in a barn for 25 years of its life so the condition is overall good. I also recently acquired an FL250 type buggy. After some reading here, I believe it to be an FL250 with a Challenger roll cage, front and rear suspension. It all looks like factory Challenger stuff from a catalog I found dated 1985. I will create a separate post and hopefully some of the experts can weigh in on that.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for some useful information in making purchases on the machines I currently own.

Chris

Thanks for the welcome guys. I need to take a few pictures of my current stable. Perhaps I have need to concentrate my efforts.

My nicest fl350 needs a bit of tlc after setting for a year, mainly Engine related. I planned to keep this one more stock as it sat in a barn for 25 years when the original owner damaged the Engine cylinder head and didn't repair it. Owner number 2 had the Engine rebuilt before I acquired it.

The challenger fl250 is a recent acquisition which was more or less unplanned. Its a sweet buggy, having previously never seen one of these in person. The previous owner installed a rotax Engine but the installation was unprofessional and incomplete. I have since removed the rotax and began repairing the drive axle, which was also broken and poorly repaired when I got it. I really wanted to put a rotax in an fl350, so this buggy may need to wait its turn or move down the line.

That brings me to the rest, which includes another three fl350's in various states of neglect (not due to myself) and another fl350 bare frame. All are missing the engines except one which I have pieces of an Engine for. These machines are the reason I have been contemplating a rotax conversion for some time. I have been studying other members conversions so more to come on that.
