Hey guys like many of you I always wanted a pilot. I grew up with several odysseys and finally found this very cherry pilot that was within driving distance. I just couldn’t pass it up! Hard to believe this is a 1989…

Yup that fixed it! I just thought it might be a restriction on this section as I uploaded one in the snow post without any problems. Hrmm maybe it was a smaller picture. Anyway this is a great site and I'm happy to see so many others are still keeping these machines in service!

Welcome
Nice looking pilot :-)
Where in Ohio are you located? There is going to be a new track just for buggies @ 30 min outside Cincinnati this spring.

Have you seen this yet?

Everyone will need plastic one day. :-)

I’m actually in Dayton so Cincy would be very close for me. Hadn’t really considered racing the pilot but as you see in the pictures it’s very cherry. As for the plastics I hadn’t thought about that as I wasn’t planning to ride it that hard. Then again if I get into the racing thing I can see that being a must have. I think my first upgrade, if I make any will be a set of shocks and maybe some HID lights to replace the stockers.
At this point the only non stock items are the rear tires and the extra gas tank :)
The story behind the charcoal is that my parents (where the pilot currently lives, my garage is too small) loose power quite a bit and that’s to through in the fire place. It’s easier to store than wood and puts off a lot more heat. If I remember right when we bought all of that it was for a weeks worth of burning.

Tom, welcome to the board. I’m just out side of Enon, ½ way between Fairborn & Springfield. When it warms up we will have to go for a ride, maybe invite Stoneman along too.

Lee,
Do you ride at Buds in Enon or do you have another place? I was planning to take the Pilot out to Buds once it warms up a bit. I normally take the Grizzly there but I think the Pilot will love the back section. We also ride the trails at Wayne a lot but of course the Pilot is too wide for thoose :(

Bud’s is around the corner from me. Dose he allow Pilots in there? My work has had side X sides in there but it’s all by special arrangement (we pay him for exclusive use). I’m up for a ride when it warms up, let me know.

I haven’t specifically asked about he pilot but from what I've seen other than trucks pretty much anything goes. I normally take my Grizzly and my dad has a RZR and he happily lets us ride all the time. I've also see the occasional Rino and Ranger playing in the mud. I think the pilot will be fun in the back section we just need to wait for it to dry up a bit. The last time I went when it had been raining a lot the back section was literally a lake. Its great fun on the quad but I don’t know that the pilot will do that well :)
So where do you typically ride? Other than H&M (with special permission) I’m not aware of any other places.
