I found my first 250 by word of mouth, friend of a friend thing, it was welll mollested and NOT running, the piston had a hole, it suffered a quick death by detonation, after a quick hone new piston and rings it was running again, after a few local riding trips the rear axle broke, after getting it into the shop and apart I could see someone had broke the axle then welded it back together again, I found a replacement axle and used it. Sorry no pics My second FL250 was the Challenger... Sweet machine! if I were less than 5'8' and weighed 100 lbs less I would still have this machine talk about FUN!!!! I have two fl250's I got them both from my uncle for $1000 for the pair. The one has a triple E cage, electric start, comet 94c clutch, and a fl350 seat. The second one is an 1984 all original. My kids are getting old enough to ride the stock one and love it. The other one I have since added a water cooled head, and a mossbarger reedvalve set up. I will try to get some pics for them. Jim

Here is the 1977 FL250 I used to race flat track back in the eighties. This was before the days of an abundance of tires to chose from so the tires we used for flat track racing were Harley Davidson brand golf cart tires! This thing was an absolute blast but would beat you to death by the end of the race. Rand
