Hi all just joined and just bought my first Oddy 84 FL250 but it might be just temporary. I got the ole EvilBay evildeal, it appears that my motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) is locked up. Trying to get the problem resolved wth the guy but now he wont answer my phone calls, dispute time. But one way or another I will end up with some kind of Oddy. Pilots way out of my price range so most likely will be a 85 FL350. The reason I went after this one because it was set up for the short track and that's what I wanted, but I still want one for trail riding. You know I ought to take the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) out of my old El Tigre 5000 and put in the Oddy but I don't think my ole body can take the G's on acceleration and I'd have to carry a cement block around with me to through out to get it stopped.

Just a little about me I am a owner operator and own a dump truck, I'm from N.E. corner of the Buckeye state and I blow my money on parts to keep my truck running which includes that expensive liquid stuff to keep it moving and old cars and old motorcycles.

Thanks for reading.

Mark

Thanks for the welcome Shoubadaba. The last and only time we talked after the sale he wasn't to receptive to what I wanted to do so now he's not answering his phone so now I think its up to Ebay to work things out. If I can at least get some money from him to help with the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) its better than nothing, I called one of the recommended dealers from the forum here and the cost of the parts to do the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) was $320.00, he said I would get a discount on that sum what ever that is for being a member here.

Welcome Mark

time is not on your side with ebay, make things happen. otherwise lets see if its even worth getting to run, you might be better off parting it out (after the dispute) and starting fresh. Post pics and we will steer you straight on a good deal or the most cost effective course of action.

There are lots of killer deals now, not too many peeps buying.

Thanks for the welcome Hare. I went over today and warmed the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) up with the torpedo heater and put some more W-D40 in the cyl. and I got the piston to move. I think there is water in the bottom end and it froze and I think that might have been part of the problem maybe not all though. The motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) still needs to be taken apart and rebuilt.

I'm going to call the seller one more time, if he doesn't answer or return my call I'll send an e-mail stateing my intentions if he doesn't answer then Feb.2 I'm going to open a Ebay dispute that's the earliest Ebay will let me do it.

So hows the overal condition of the oddy? Will it be worth it to you to rebuild it or just part it out and start over?
