Hi all,
Im fairly new to the oddy scene and have been reading here since late last year when I got my first oddy.
It was a 1978 Honda Odyssey FL250 pretty beat up. It was only $400.00 so I figured I couldnt go wrong being that that's what I would pay for a lawnmower Engine gokart so I bought it. I rode it at the guys place when I went to look at it before I had the rest of the money for it and his yard was all flat so I just couldnt quit wondering how well this thing would go up hills because all the trails around here are hilly. So I came home, read a bunch here about them and decided to buy it. Got the rest of the money and went and picked it up. First thing I did was take it up the hill behind our place because I figured if it would haul me up that hill it would go anyhwere I needed to go. I was really impressed with it as far as the performance capibilities. I was dissapointed in how bad of shape the machine was in since I have very little mechanical ability lol. All the tires were dry-rot and only held air for a few laps around the yard which green slime temporairly fixed. The right shock would compress and stick. Frame was busted behind the seat. Etc.
But anyway, Winter came here in SWPA and from all the research I did online about these things I knew not to run my 250 in the winter without re-jetting so it sat under a tarp while I sat inside researching the 350's knowing incometax time was coming soon heeheehee. So I purchased the infamous "Two Seater Pilot/Fl350 Frankenstein?
" for $1200 incometax time figuring that was a great deal and I would be able to have it fixed and maybe even keep it. From all the research I do I know it was worth it in oddy/pilot parts alone. Long story short. It was only built cosmetically not functionally. It would have took the width of a football field to turn that Two Seater Pilot/Fl350 Frankenstein around 180 degrees.
So my wife helped me with her half of incometax buy a wicked FL350 and pay her back her share when I sold the Two Seater Pilot/Fl350 Frankenstein
So I now own one Outtakontroll buggy. It has a 340 Kawasaki sled motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in it with a Comet 102c race clutch Aluminum Douglas wheels, 5gal fuel cell, and perfect plastic. I am doing it with a patriotic american theme.
I am also thinking about racing it with you all coming up here.
I have attached some pics and vids because we all love those lol
I have read so much here that I feel like I know alot of you personally lol
I also appreciate the dedication to these buggies you all have made to this site and beyond.

New videos.
They are not the best but here are 2 videos my son took of me riding in the muddy field that I may make a track in.
Enjoy and keep an eye out for more vids.
Also my new belt squeaks/squeals when in idle. Is that normal? And my back break makes a hellova noise every time I engage it. You can hear it in the one video. Any ideas?

The flag on the hood looks good, what do your rear brake pads look like? How about the rotor?

Well I know the disc is pretty bad looking rusty, maybe grooved. I will inspect it better after this weekend. I will be busy all weekend. Not sure what the pads look like. I do have a brand new set of those that im sure need to go on though.
Ya my hood turnned out alot nicer than I expected. I have other american themed decals that have to go on yet. But today was the first time I have had a chance to spend any extent of time on her.
Outta.
