Hi
I live in Delta B.C. Canada
I got my first fl250 in Oct 2009 took it all apart and built a swing arm rear suspention and a roll cage for it, first kick at the cat so to speak. I put it together and gave it to my wife for XMAS 2009 she loves it her first ride she was covered in mud from head to toe.
I started collecting parts for an fl350 shortly after that. I got a frame in October 2010 and the next one started.
It is a budget build 440 kawasaki sled Engine,400ex a arm front suspention. all parts are off ebay and craigs list low bids and if I win I get the part if not try again next time. Pics of it;s progress.

Thanks Hoser
The Engine is out of a 1981 kawasaki LTD it fit in pretty good but I had to cut the right side of frame to fit the recoil.
I welded new support tubes in it should be ok. I am learning as I go this forum has been a lot of help searching posts for good ideas.

Going by memory that was a great Engine and was about 80HP make sure you install some good air filter setup.

I still have to get air cleaner, gas tank, brake lines and a rear brake rotor. The Engine seems good 130 psi on each cylinder leak down test was good but I got crank seals and will refresh them when i take it all apart to paint just to be safe.

Hi Turbo
The pipe is a stock kawasaki 440 sled pipe ,I had to cut it apart and rotate a couple of bends but did not change expansion chamber or length.I took apart the silencer and spark arrester and put it back together in the 4" 90 degree dump. This shortened up the silencer by 5" and I had the 90 from a job I did on a log boom boat. I have a stock fl350 pipe and silencer I got off ebay for 99 cents but thought I would be better off using the stock 440 pipe if I could make it fit without changing the expansion chamber or length.

WELCOME to the site Eagles17 I am kinda new here as well, but let me tell ya, out of all the forums i have ever been on, this is by far the friendliest I have ever seen. Really good peoples. I want to say my hats off to ya for just jumping out and creating your own animal. That's pretty cool. I have wanted to put like a 600RR Honda motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in one of mine but they are just to beautiful to start cutting up. I know i would love the power but I'm one of those guys that can't do it. If I knew it would be clean i would.

Thanks
It is a great forum good info and everyone is very helpful.
I like building, as a supervisor at work I don't get to use my hands as much as I would like.
I looked for a while to find an fl350 but couldn't find one for a fair price that was within a four hour drive.
It feels good putting one together from parts bringing one back from the dead so to speak.
For me collecting parts and reading posts getting ideas is as much fun as driving them.
