Lurker turned member! Thanks everyone for sharing your info on these toys.

I live in VT and have 2 FL250s, an 81 & 83 (I think). Mine aren't pretty but were cheap but kinda rough, bootleg welding mods, rust, you know how it goes.... At this point there is a lot of aftermarket stuff on them but I'd like to get one back to original.

Both have elec. starters & spun alum. gas tanks, 25" rears & aftermarket challenger steering on one. Just completely rebuilt the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) on the newer one, bored & put in brand new upper & lowers. AND I scored a Powerbloc clutch, trying to make it work with the stock rear clutch, any advice?

Welcome Fletch
Glad to see you have advanced from a lurker/peeper to a member... :-)
How long have you had the machines? You must provide pictures of the Odysseys...
Eye candy for all you know

Thank you. I've owned them both for less than a year and have learned how to work them by trial & error. After I get them where I want performance/functional wise, I'll go back and make them look nicer.

File comment: Ody #1: My older one that runs. Has new top end, goki starter, alum gas tank and rear 25's. It has a racing seat since I bought it without one. It goes ok but I cannot for the life of me get it to idle! Carb was rebuilt but its still funky, I've tried everything but am leaning towards a flat slide carb anyway.

File comment: Ody #2: Not much to look at yet but this one has the Powerbloc & fully restored Engine. Should have it running today if all goes well....

File comment: Ody #2: Test fitting the Power Bloc, I'm aware the wear collar is not on yet so its not installed correctly at this point. This Power Bloc is the type without the D ring on top.

File comment: Ody #1: Dirty as hell from a good ride in the snow testing out the new rears. I need to let some air out of them & get wider fenders. Mud was flying everywhere
