that's interesting about the power steering. are you going to try this..might be interested in doing one on my 360, only thing with the oddy that i can see is the brake master cylinder might be in the way. this is where the pilot had a big advantage with the brakes being on the steering wheel

Yeah, Ive heard of the ebay module on other sites, supposed to work fine.

Why does it have to be welded at all? I'm not familiar with the ends, but should be a way to bolt it together. Street vehicles are bolted, should work on a gokart.

I'm coming real close to sticking one on my JD lawn tractor.

i had one on my odyssey with a pilot wheel it worked pretty badass i just had too small of power wires supplying it and it would shutoff all the time

i have another idea i might go with but not too sure

Looks good what did you end up using for a throttle cable? I ended up building my own splitter and set it up with a set screw so I can adapt to any length of cable. I also deleted the third leg for the oil injection system.

Post subject:  Re: BS's 617 rotax pilot swap

well got the pilot mostly done

just need to wait for the correct belt to come in the mail

also have to rejet my carbs again  found out i need a 50 pilot and a 135 main not the 72pilot and 150main that i originally put in it FML

will also have to machine my primary clutch to make the belt fit better have to machine off 3/16'' off the end and the lip

anyone know what bolt it takes to remove the skidoo primary?

will also have to buy a gasket set for the Engine since i cannot find the exhaust gaskets by themselves

to remove the primary in a bind, i put a 1/4 extension in the hole and used the primary bolt.
here is a great source for carb info http://www.seadoosource.com/carbreference.html i would go with a 125 main and 60 pilot

This is what I've done in the past to find internal threads.
Get a kebab scewer or similar, roll some blue tac, plasticine or whatever holds indentations around it.
Then insert and press against the threads, withdraw carefully  and check the thread lines dents with a thread gauge.
