So what are you using?

Honda part numbers for the kits are
45530-MA4-671 CYLINDER SET, MASTER powersportsplus.com list this kit for Price:$28.07 http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/h ... 4-671.html

This kit looks like it fits many other Honda products such as VF500C Magna 1984-1985, GL1200 Goldwing (base model only) 1984 on another site it fits Honda VALKYRIE (GL1500C) 1999 found on another site Fits the following models: VF500C Magna 1984-1985 VT500C Shadow 1983-1986 VT500FT Ascot 1983-1984
VT750C Shadow 1986-1987
price seems to be about 26.00 to 31.00 for a kit.

The other kit
45530-471-831 CYLINDER SET, MASTER you can still get from Honda for $31.35 .powersportsplus.com list this kit for $27.72
Looks like this kit also fits about everything Honda ever made, one site says it fits over 150 different applications I see no need to list all 150 seems to be easy enough to get.

So at today's prices you can buy both kits right from Honda getting the Honda quality parts for $ 55.79

A guy on ebay is selling MOOSE kits for US $54.89 the MOOSE part numbers he list are MD06-001 (12-9968) AND 32-1079 search the web for those part numbers you can get them cheaper I have no idea of the quality of the rubber on MOOSE stuff I would stick with the original Honda parts myself.

Also during my search I see LIEwire is selling a "kit" for $76.99 looking at the pictures on his website they don't look like Honda parts to me have to assume they are MOOSE or some other brand why is LIEwire selling them for $21.20 MORE than you or I can go to Honda and buy them for? More of the ole "The site with the dash is only after your cash" Jackassery.

Time will tell on the quality.

Just curious but why didnt you buy Honda parts that come in the Honda packaging they were only .90 more than the unknown brand you bought, is it the lure of evilbay?

Hopefully the kits you bought were made by the same company that makes them for Honda, after watching 60 minutes and American Greed about all the counterfeit products coming out of Asia I doubt the quality is the same.

Anyone tried these? I'm not sure my master is rebuildable, I would hate to waste 50 or 60 bucks to find out.

That's the kit I used and it seems to be holding up well.

EDIT

Hmmmm. Maybe I'm loosing it. I just looked at the ad and it shows blue center shafts and this isn't the one I have used after all. On second though I know I'm loosing it!

Can someone please help me find it? LOL

Sorry for steering you the wrong way!

Rand
