Just wondering if anyone has any big rides planned for 2013 in & around Ohio. I definitely need to get some seat time with some other buggies in 2013!!

Badlands? Silver Lake? Etc?

Not sure of the other recreational parks elsewhere.

I'd like to get out for a trip or few in April/May/June, and September/October. July and August are simply too busy for me.

Denuch and I were talking about trying to goto Kentucky or Tennessee this year... We did badlands 2x last year. What's the deal with silver lakes? I've heard it's a pain in the butt to get into?

Silver Lake is a big dune park in Michigan near the "pinky" on your "hand map of Michigan". I've never ATV'd there, but I think it's only a pain to get a voucher on holiday weekends since they start giving them out the night before at like 9pm or something. Otherwise, not a problem.

Denuch and I are game for silver lakes then, I've been hearing its a pain to get from camp/ dunes that's why I asked- we have never been there either. I don't think they open till march or April?

I would be interested in joining you and/or others at Silver Lake... I've been there last year, and I would suggest non-Holiday weekends because of their voucher system.

I was thinking about places to ride.
I know Michigan has nice ATV trails but that doesn't help us.
I found this MI-TRAILE thing in the western UP that looks interesting.
Looks like they use old railroad right of way, strip mines and logging roads to put the trails together.
It might be less challenging terrain but much more scenic than say Badlands.

Any one have any experience with this area?
I didn't find fee information or campgrounds (I'm supposed to be working).
Thought I would ask before doing any leg work.

Location wise it looks good for Hoser, bit of a long haul for me. 12 hours according to google maps.

Sounds cool. But I don't understand why someone has to pay $5 for the map of the trails?
