Yeah turbotexas has been out of the pilot game for a while,I've been out for a year now.But I'm up for a ride,I go to Hidden Falls sometimes but usually only once or twice a year,I have to work most Saturdays which is a major bummer.I'm driving a Polaris Ace 900SP now

I'm just getting back into the odyssey world.. Have a few dirt bikes and bought the pilot so my Dad can still have fun.. dirt bikes a little hard on him at hidden.
The pilot I bought has some mystery +2 arms on it so hunting A-arm bushings.. may have to have them made.. then going to do some sorting out of Engine etc.. has the cr500 CW motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) in it..
Nice machine but in need of maintenance.. Will ping you next time planning a HF trip.. let me know.. Thanks for the connection

Lol, how come you never complemented them when I had it!
I especially like the red paint I added in the middle,I think it adds to it :-)

Not bead locks, just reinforcing rings...

Yep - The red really sets them off...
Was it a PITA to paint them like that ? Rattle can ?

One sweet looking pilot thou...

Ya those are actually functional rings that reinforce the wheel, they don't do anything to keep the bead seated but protect the wheel against hard hits that would otherwise bend the rim.

Thanks again Redskinman for the time on the phone.. and all the others that continue to post here sharing your knowledge and experience.
I have been working my way through your old posts with this machine.. I hope I have better luck or the post has a happy ending.
So much details on the carb/Engine etc.. Thanks for sharing and storing..

I did figure out the OEM for the front A-Arms .. unfortunately, they are no longer interested.
My plan now is to build my own bushings.. 3D print the mold.. and while at it, buddy and I decided to attempt to improve.
We are going to make them in a "poly bronze" design given how the original design seems to rust sleeve to bolt.
So, I will have the sleeve then the bronze then the the poly, will be halves just like original and press in.
Planning to do all the rears as well.
Expect result will mean high compliance and near zero resistance..

It is a badarz looking machine for sure..

Since, I have it in pieces, I got rebuild parts for the shocks, painted springs white..
A-arms in black.. should pop..

Thanks

Howdy. I am working on building out my pilot using duck tape, bubblegum, and matchsticks. When I am ready to roll sometime this millennium, I would totally be down to rip! :-)
