Somewhere between Beatty and Death Valley Nat park. Right on the state line.

I've ridden extensively below the I, F and O of California near the China Lake Naval Weapons base and Edwards.

Just about everything in and around that area on the California side is now closed to all motorized vehicle traffic thanks to that bitch Feinstein!

We would drive offroad for 30 minutes before coming to our favorite camping spot and usually never see another person for days, we could fit three motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) homes under our favorite Joshua treeif we wanted, it was huge.

Yeah, tons of em, but I'll have to find em and scan them.

Lots of pics of the local wild life, indian and military artifacts too. Lots of pics of mines too, but most of the mine stuff is still on video.

You can see the Joshua tree at:

35 degrees, 19'33.55"N
117 degrees, 17'01.71" W

Using googleearth

I was surprised at how big it appears compared to the others nearby.

Guess I need some directions here I downloaded and installed google earth then cut and paste in your
35 degrees, 19'33.55"N
117 degrees, 17'01.71" W
then get a error "your search returned no results"

Put this into the Fly To field in the upper left corner

35 19' 33.55"N, 117 17' 01.71"W

BTW sometimes the coordinates for some sites want signed numbers instead of East vs West and North Vs South.

a Negative degrees would indicate West of Grenich or South of the equator

It is a very big joshua tree, around a 50-60 foot spread.

All of the rock outcroppings in the area were used as target by the pilots flying to and from the abandoned WWII airfield west of there and we developed a pattern search method that produced 75-200 50 cal and 20mm shell casings and links per person (and the occasional live round) a day/night. Nights were more productive with portable spot lights because you didn't have to deal with all of the shadows cast in the day light. Our best find yet was a string of 25 live 50's.

The occasinal mint condition dummy bomb and a few 38-40mm rockets are always expected too.

The whole area is loaded with arrowheads as well.
