This is one of the top mx tracks in the country so they say, and we went there today. I got real friendly with the MGT as I had a ear to ear grin on my face when I saw some of the track... They do not let quads ride the track, but they have areas that they can. I asked about my little old Odyssey and they said bring it!!! I won't be able to ride the track, but they have several acres of trails, a kids track with perfect size ody jumps and looks like I could have lots of fun...
The Owner, who I haven't meet, is said to have a 30,00.00 sand car that he brings out to ride the track on occasionally... I believe he is fixing to be my new best friend!!! LOL
Any one in Texas feel like coming out the mgt said Monday's were the best day as far as a smaller crowd meant more room for Ody's!!!

Turbo,
Are you aware they are having a TORC series race at Cycle Ranch in October? They were supposed to host the opening round but its has been rescheduled to Oct.
"INDIANAPOLIS (March 23, 2011) - Officials with The Off-Road Championship, aka "TORC" Racing Series, announced today that the scheduled April 30/May 1 season-opening venue location has been changed from Texas' Cycle Ranch to Michigan's RedBud MX. The new TORC 2011 opening date is Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-29.

USAC officials touring the Texas facility have called for additional safety enhancements, to be put in place prior to racing action. These changes have impacted the April plan for track testing, and thus require the calendar move of the event from April/May to October 15-16.

"While it is difficult to make a schedule change at this point. we know it is the absolute correct decision to assure a safe and professional racing experience for our teams. USAC is founded on providing safety in racing first," said Jason Smith, Sr. VP of Racing Competition.

Cycle Ranch, located in Floresville (20 miles south of San Antonio), is a new permanent off-road park which will feature a 1.0 mile short course track. Facilities for spectator viewing and incredible racing action are being modeled after the great facilities featured with the TORC Series at Crandon (Wisc.) and Bark River (Mich.).

The Traxxas TORC Series, presented by AMSOIL, opener at RedBud will include all PRO and Sportsman classes. A buzz is in the air in the well-established motocross community of the big trucks and names coming to the most iconic tracks on the Outdoor National AMA tour"

So you have about 7 months to get your all your cracks welded up. A 1 mile short course track modeled after Crandon will be sweet.
How far away is this from you?

Stone I have been trying to convince these people to let the Pilot/Triple EEE race with the UTV's for 6 weeks now... It was a no-go... 1frc has even contacted Tiffany with TORC and we just found out about the post-ponement... So maybe if my fellow racers who are involved in GNCC would show an interest to this bunch and make the ULTIMATE road/race trip and come down to TEXAS!!! I am about 25 miles away... I hope to have time this weekend to go visit the track and see what they are building... It would be cool to have a practice facility this close... I would be more comfortable going to the Lucas Oil races in Arizona and California more often with some track time...
