I went to Jones Creek orv area today, It is located east of Vancouver Washinton.
I see people going by my house all the time with motorcycles and quad's heading up to Jones creek, I decided to go up and see if the trails would be wide enough for my FL350.
I sqeezed my ody between 2 boulders at the head of 1 of the trails and was on my way, the trails were narrow , there were a few tight turns around some of the tree's but most of the area was not to bad.
I did get worried when I was going down a hill and looked ahead and there was a bridge that did NOT look very wide but the ody fit on it perfectly, if the ody was 2 inches wider it would not have made it.
there is a local group of riders that do maintanance on the trails so they are mostly in good shape.
After riding for about an hour I took a break for about 30 minutes then went out again, there is a trail that crosses a gravel road so I decided to play around on the road and open up the ody since riding on the trails was kind of slow.
After zipping up and down the gravel road a few times I thought I had gotten a flat tire, the ODY was leaning to the right and the steering was not working correctly.
I stopped on the side of the gravel road to take a look at the ody and a guy that had been following me for a few minutes stopped to see what was going on, then he noticed the ody was missing the top shock bolt on the right side.
I went down to a hardware store and got a bolt and rode for about an hour after that..
It's a great place for motorcycle and 4-wheelers, a bit tight for the ody but it was fun.
And the best part it is free to ride at Jones Creek ORV and it's only about 6 miles from my house :-)

Hey badbob I was there on Saturday! If I would have known you would be out there we could have met up, I usually just ride the dirtbike out there. If you get the chance try out Evans Creek, more trails for us, though the jeeps on the trails are SLOW, haha.

I may head out there Saturday this week, i'll do a ride report.

While most states are closing riding ares here in Washington we are making our riding area's bigger :-) , 20 more miles of motorcycle and atv trails and adding 4X4 trails, I knew I shoudn't have sold my 4X4.
I hope this works out since it's only a few miles from were I live.

No riding for me for a while, my 72 chevy gets terrible gas milage and unemployment does not pay enough to have any money left for fun after paying bills.
I need to sell my truck and get one with better gas milage so I can come up north and ride with you and the other guys up there.

It has rust around windshield a rusted out cab corner, rusted doors, bed is beat to hell.
It was going to be a project but I never have enough money for all my projects.

My favorite place to ride is McCubbins Gulch on Mt Hood. It's open and fast. Not rocky like Jones Creek and Browns Camp. No 4x4 so trails are sweet. Little ruts for the drain the climbs with old tires across the trails at an angle. Have spot for just ATV's and no bikes. This keep the ruts out of the trails. It really is a sweet spot. It's been about 5 years from when I was there last though. ATV's for sure. Do more research for your pilots and fl350's trail wise.

I like it for there are open areas where mini tracks all over. It does have deep narrow dirt bike trails though. I think they mark the trails as well.

Little tracks all around the camp site with lots of open camping

Nice riding with little ruts.

Open but in the woods with no rocks in the way.

Anyway miles and miles of this type of riding.

Are you talking abot Jones Creek ORV Oregon? Never heard of one in Washington.
