The Oregon Dunes are my favorite place to ride! Always 50-70 degrees. Lakes, Ocean, Hill climbs, Trails. Here is a go pro video of me and my buddies. http://contour.com/stories/wormy" .".." .".. These are just some of the trails in 333,000 acres of riding. There are open dunes with big hill climbs, hill shoots, and if you notice in the video, NO DUST!!! An awesome place to enjoy!

Wont be going this weekend since it will be raining most of the weekend, so much for planning 2 months in advance.
Maybe it will stop raining by the 4TH of July so I can go for a long weekend to the coast :-)

Maybe I will go up on MT hood and go snowboarding since it is SNOWING up there, so much for global warming, a winter storm warning for the mountains was just on the news.

If you look at the weather forecast for the coast of Oregon, you'll never go! It always calls for rain! Called for rain yesterday and was sunny all day.

I was hoping for more than one or two days of nice weather, driving from Portland and need to make it worth it, I can't afford to drive that far for just a day or 2 .
I know all about the crazy weather at the coast, I have been going too Winchester Bay, north Bend and Florence since about 1978 when my family had a pos VW dune buggy..
I went up to Timberline lodge on MT hood Friday , I was weird to be snowed on the last weekend of May.
Here are some pics from the mountain.

Coos Bay Oregon is on my list of places I want to hit. It is about 900 miles for me.

Are all the dunes in that area all connected? Or do you have to drive to different staging areas to enter each one?

Rode Winchester and Florence last weekend. Rolled the pilot, made it up banshee hill and my boyfriend blew up his ktm. His brother and our friends came out. Other than the drakart breaking it was sweet! Will hopefully get the videos up, boufriends little brother nose dived the pilot and got it on 2 videos.
