This is one of my favorites for getting in an hour or two's worth of riding. This trail used to link up with the Tahoe Rim Trail but the tree huggin Mother @#$%^&'s apparently have the rim trail section closed to ATV's and now allows only foot traffic mountain bikes and horses only. Round trip from Carson City to the south end of Lake Tahoe was about 40 miles round trip with some spectacular views of Lake Tahoe.

Now the trip is 20 miles round trip but still some spectacular views of Carson City, Johnson Valley and the town of Minden Nevada.
