Ok the manifold came so I was able to finish the Engine mount, I removed the oil
injection pump and fabricated a 'billet' blank off plate, my buddy Don came over and
we went ahead and cut 1" off the upper oil circulation tube so it clears the carb, I had
to fabricate a new 'Billet' water outlet that bolts on the head the factory one would
put the air filter right where the hose connects.

This is one of many he had under the bench, years ago this was my Engine
I never thought I would put in a Pilot or build my own car so traded it to him
for some stuff I needed, he was going to build a car around it but never
did, Don did start working on that one black tube frame (Genesis"again but he
is going to install a 562? Rotax rotary into it not the 440 I am using.

Is that 440 the one he said was pushing 100 hp :-) how did he do with selling the other 250's he had,the briggs car and the others ?You get any offers on the challenger yet ? I thought about buying that 440 a while back ,in case my 350 ever went out on me.I don't exspect it too anytime soon as this 350 seems real solid since he rebuilt it.At the moment i'm working on designing an auxzillary tank for it.It's going to be a little or i should say a lot different than anybody's seen on an oddy or pilot. If i can, i'll mock up a picture and send it and see what you think.Basically it is going to be a triangular horseshoe that will set and mount to the exsisting stock breather box mounts, and run down the inside of the rollcage sides. The down running tanks or sides will be triangular also and set so much more of the airflow is directed to the radiator and motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )).Not too big as to look qauddy but big enough to be effective and yet hopefully give me an extra 3 gallons of fuel.Everything aluminum of course. The only drawback may be that it probably will have to be a center fill,we'll see.

Got you some fabing skills don't you boy! (with thumbs in arm pits sitting in a rocker!)

I have taught you well, Grasshopper! Try to fetch the pebble from my hand!

When do "WE" start it?

I have always had fab skills what I lack the fab tools, using a big hammer and a axe to
shape something out of a scrap chunk of steel you salvage from a dumpster on a
job site gets old fast and takes for ever hehe Wait until you see the new "Billet" thermostat
cover I fabricated using a hack saw, drill bit and a file....

Hey Hoser
That is the first time I've ever seen a 2 into 1 expansion chamber, is that your idea? How could it work? Or is that your really well developed sense of humor?

Oh well, onto what this reply was really about, my Engine mount seems to be working flawlessly so I might as well paint it while I have it out for the trans CSI project.

Looks much better with a splash of paint.

UPDATE Re-torqued the Engine to Engine mount nuts 3 times after reinstalling Engine and a bunch of heat cycles, that layer of paint will cause the Engine to move around I should have masked off the area where the Engine sets on the plate so their was no paint between the Engine mount and the Engine, all is good now :-) Engine does not move nuts never come lose.

The next time the Engine is out I will drill a bunch more 1/2" and 1" holes in the Engine mount plate and remove another 1/2 lb of unneeded weight.
